What you need it for?
If you have that useless unifi tv box, can find in facebook ppl that sell service to convert it. much easier.

I don't have unifi. Planning to install TIME then get a TV Box to watch Netflix or Youtube. Currently got TV but no TV channel, use HDMI cable to watch movie on TV saja.

I see. Then that's really necessary haha.
How long is considered excessive? Did it just overheat and kaput? I can one shot watch half a day of Netflix leh

Try 12 hours per day. As Chromecast is hidden behind the TV, it will be quite hot. Either strap a fan with heatsink or put somewhere in ventilation.

I think it’ll built to last. Been using it for a year. I think I’ve binge watch Netflix series and anime’s on Crunchyroll. Ok only my chrome cast

Hmm, but I used VOD more frequently. So I'll either get a Smart TV or use a streaming adapter

I think most Android TV box came with chrome cast function.

Example box support Chrome Cast include Mi Box and Nvidia shield 2017.

My chromecast flickers (sound and video) randomly.
So far, I have tried
- putting into other HDMI ports.
- changing cables , power adapters.
- factory reset. This works for a while but problem come back after 1-2 hours.
I googled and found quite a lot of people having this issue in the forum. All without real proper resolution. Their support seem to blame it to compatibility between chromecast and TV. Anyone else have this issue here in Malaysia ?
