looking for a point and shoot cam for about 650

preferbably with a case and a 1gb memory card at least

my imaging sifu tells me that almost all canons below 700 are good for their price . so i've been looking at the Powershot A550 , and i'm quite satisfied with its capabilities

so , any comments or recommendations of better models ?

no specific requirements , but prefer something with at least VGA video recording and takes relatively decent night shots as well as day shots

actually , i've already did a bit of researching , like on dpreview and imaging resource
