warranty services dell is better than hp compaq, i think hp compaq onli offer carry in warranty service. but dell is next business day on site... n no worry my laptop hav to send to factory for weeks time if it is broken.. 

as i know.. core 2 duo is performance better than turion X2... haha. nt really sure la, din deep explore about the difference n review.
but for me.. even there has a difference there.. i think i wont notice so.. coz i din do video enconding or wat.. jz used for online n programming for my work.. actually i prefer AMD oso..but 4 laptop .. i cant do anything if system failure unless hdd and ram onli.. others hav to waits the manufacturer to do so.. thus, the warranty service is the main factor that i choose dell..

They said two weeks maximum. I ordered on Wednesday, 11th and the expected delivery date on order confirmation is on 18th July.

it's just a small speed difference between the both processors. if your budget allows u to spend extra RM315 then just opt for T5450. if not..just stick with T5250. sometimes u won't realise the speed difference. if comparing T5450 and T7100 there will be some difference as the FSB speed difference is 667Mhz and 800Mhz. 

if you're doing alot of photoshop..opt for a dedicated graphic card. it plays more important role than a faster processor. opt for 8400M GS instead of Intel X3100. mine with Intel GMA950 and 1GB RAM can run Photoshop quite smoothly given not running too many background processes so 1420 with 2GB RAM & 8400M GS should be very very smooth. with 8400M GS..u can even play latest games with decent settings. an extra point. extra RM175 well spent. 

yup..but that's how i tink about it. it depends ur budget. C2D 1.5Ghz is sufficient for Vista. even Core Duo can run Vista smoothly. when comes to Vista..the issues will always be more RAM & a dedicated GC.

oo.. can get a 89 cut off a.. erm. if i go piramid there get the product code from the promoter.. then come back n place order online.. izzit work?

okay. photoshop might not require dedicated GC but just being on the safe-side and future-proof it's wise to invest in a good GC. that's how i tink. peace.

Dell is having a roadshow @ Pyramid? didn't noe about that.  that's the price they gave u during the roadshow? or have u tried configure online & see whether there's any price difference? Vista Premium is more eye-candy with Flip3D.

It's worth if u take advantage of it. If not, it's a waste.

Oh... There is this thing that they say in the Road show, which is about the "Dell Price Guarantee". If in case the price of Dell machine with the similar spec drops in the next 2 weeks, or can be purchased at lower price when called to their call center, Dell will either give you the lower price, or cancel your order at your request.

So for those who has been delaying their purchase until PC Fair, since PC Fair is just around 2 weeks away, there is no need to wait, as the price won't be dropped a lot and if it does, Dell will refund us or cancel our order & let us buy the new unit with the lower price.

I thot we already talk about this, get the better proc, photoshop dont utilize gpu. Do u play games at all? If u dont, u are more than enuf will integrated. And i dont know for sure PhotoShop works flawless with Vista. Never heard either bad/good news about it. U might want to check about that. Bluetooth is important, TrueLife is sometimes annoying bcoz it reflects like mirror.

If you get Vista from Dell, it is OEM, already registered on the laptop which they installed it. You cannot activated the vista on other machines but still can be installed.

i guess so.but dont worry there are lots of crack for ehem2 there.
