I think previously someone managed to get a SP as free gift and someone managed to find people to install Clearplex. More should be coming in few weeks time due to its popularity.  rclxms.gif

I used the RM 150 voucher for free front screen Clearplex SP at Huawei Flagship Store at Pavillion Elite. It is claimed to be used by NASA outer space exploration. First impression on the SP is good. They applied it nicely. I think the touch feel is also better than Clearcoat.

I think for my case, it depend... sometime very fast but sometime need few attempts... could be due to my finger tends to be feel oily and my screen finger print area maybe not as clean as always... hahahah... plus my finger tends to be dry too which might not so smooth on the print area hehehe!!
*
It is frustrating to use the optical fingerprint as mentioned above. Hence, better turn it off and get improved bettery life according to GSMArena. Just use the facial recognition. Hoping that Samsung's S10 in-display ultrasonic fingerprint coming next year will not have this problem.

This are like hints the screen could be inferior quality.

My thought will be cut cost since Huawei phone one of the cheapest. Just pray.

I also have a feeling like this. Since the OLED is not from Samsung but instead from BOE/LG.

The OLED from two companies, LG n BOE. The one got green color one is LG.

My one is LG spec. If I use Device Info HW app to do the screen test those full pages color especially black one note issue. If grey, look like got very mild green reflection at edge. It really not noticeable.

Certain app which have grey background will be affected. Not sure it's hardware or software problem.
*
Anyone got BOE display can check got issue or not?

After watching this video, I think the Pixel 3 XL camera is better than the Mate 20 Pro. Google's Super Resolution Zoom is impressive and maybe better than the 3x telephoto lens on the Mate 20 Pro. Certainly, Google knows how to do more with less and more is not always better.

Well ya.. I switched to mate 20 Pro for the awesome camera but overall experience... I still prefer Samsung more. Missing the better speakers, display and user interface. Samsung blue filter works marvellously for me.. I had to download a few apps to lower the screen brightness at a acceptable level at night.. Though we aren't supposed to look at screens in dark room.. Lolz

But... I love the battery and the charging speed.. Awesome! Unplugged from 7am till now still left 50% with Spotify and waze around 2 hours continuously.. 👍👍
*
Indeed, the Mate 20 Pro has better battery. But I just can't stand EMUI and the out-of-the-box higher-than-normal screen brightness. And the deciding factor is Samsung Pay. Hence, switched back to Samsung after few days of use with the Mate 20 Pro.

Not sure if mrwhosetheboss is using the default 10mp or 40mp for the shots to be compared to pixel 3.. But from all his videos, most probably he used the default setting which is 10mp. In this case pixel 3 wins as the default lens mp is higher.

I was actually deciding between m2p or p3xl but gosh, the 'smiley' notch is another level. Their photo processing algorithm is in the highest level. Love their night sight though tend to over sharpened and blown some of the images.
*
I think the Mate 20 Pro AI features only work with the 10 MP. The 40 MP is there if need superhighres image. Also, the 3x telephoto lens is only 8 MP.

I download rootless pixel launcher to replace the emui awful big icons launcher. Now thinking if I should switch back to Samsung or stick till s10 is out. One thing about Samsung... The secondhand value is gone!! Too many resellers throwing out new sets at much lower price and caused used phone dropped 50% from its retail price.. P20p can even sell higher.
*
Especially the Note9, the price drops like crazy. Samsung should really do something that will amaze us with the S10. They should not release an S model like this year S9 so called Camera Reimagined but get trumped after few weeks with the launch of the P20 Pro.

nope …. look like software site Samsung is much refine that emui.
*
Infinity Flex Display. Yay! Samsung new One UI which is based on 9 Pie looks better than EMUI I think.

By the way, if not because of the screen issue, Mate 20 Pro is an overall great phone of 2018 with a complete package.

My screen is like this now. If u view from different angle u will still see bleeding from the side and around the notch area.

If it stay like this, no spreading then i am satisfied already. Cant ask for too much now. Since it didnt affect my daily use at all.
*
Well, according to GSMArena review on the Mate 20 Pro, the OLED on this smartphone did not get true black unlike Samsung Galaxy and Apple iPhone where both of them give infinite contrast ratio. This means that there will be some bleeding on the display of the Mate 20 Pro.

keep it coming for the great photo.!

p/s: following this thread from the beginning. still consider to get m20p now or later.... or not.

hands on my colleague m20p, really amaze the camera tho and the color display on the screen.
*
According to reviews, the P20 Pro actually has a better camara except for the wide angle lens. That's why Huawei intend to put 4 sensors next year. I think the monochrome sensor really helps the P20 Pro. Also, for night mode, Google now beats it already with the night scape.

As of right now, most of the pages here full of Hulk issue sad.gif

That's why i dump Pro out of my purchase sight in the first place.

Initially, impressed with it but later avoided the Mate 20 Pro. It's a hassle to go back and forth to fix the screen. Wait for the P30 Pro and S10 then see how.
