Okay so the country director call me today, asked me to come in to pavillion store and he will let me unbox as many phones as i want until i find one that is perfect.

So i went today and they brought out 3 brand new sealed phones and the first i opened instantly was perfect, no bulging screen, no white dust and looked actually brand new like when i first bought my phone.

Was happy, gave back my phone for them for 1 hour to test if there is any self inflicted damage and after that they gave me the new phone and i'm home now. So relieved finally this ordeal has ended. Took almost a month though.

Also checked my screen is now BOE which is another huge relief

For those of you who has issue, i suggest you go Pavillion ASAP as there are 2-4 China Huawei members which i assume hold high position in Huawei China standing there and watching every single customer that's being handled by service centre. They are in plain clothes but you surely won't miss them as you will know they are from China. Straight away approach them and tell them you want brand new with box exchange.

Successfully return my Mate 20 Pro back to service center and currently pending for refund. To be frank, Huawei Malaysia doesn't seems to have a proper or standard process to handle customer refund. As a customer, I have to collaborating with Huawei online support team, Huawei sales team, service center and merchant/dealer to make this refund happen.

My refund guideline for your reference if you purchase the set thru online and not possible to return the set back to the merchant/dealer due to distance.
- Log a report that you want to request for refund thru HiCare live chat or helpline
- The support team manager will call you to understand the reason and whether to accept the provided reason
- Once they agree on the refund, Huawei sales team suppose to contact merchant/seller and service center to work out the process that work for you
- The nearest service center suppose to contact you to hand in the defect set back to them
- The service center then will ship a replacement unit to the merchant/seller
- The merchant/seller will make the refund back to you

Do you guys know the brand of tempered glass Huawei Midvalley is selling? I think it's the best TG as it the glass fits well with the edges.
