Just molested Mate 20 Pro at Huawei shop just now. What I can say is it really impressed me. The level of smoothness is very crazy. I finally surrendered and hand over my deposit. Broke my promised to not change phone this year (sigh). The black one does look nice. Like frosty black of some sort.

BTW, gesture for home & recent does not work at all when enabled. Back gesture works like charm anyway. I wonder if it caused by shop demo mode. Anyone face the same issue?

Anyone know how to get rid of this "android setup" bugger?

EMUI don't have long screenshot ?

(Multiple page screenshot together in one screenshot)

Found - http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/newpro...w_feature03.htm

But bottom right don't have any button, but knuckle write S works .

Actually there is gesture action to take long screenshot on Mate 20 Pro. After taking journal screenshot (knock 2 times on screen with your knuckle or pressing power+volume down simultaneously), you can drag the small preview down to activate it.

Another method for this who wanna test.

Go to app store search for  Rgb color mixer

Installed it and on color R/G/B put the value to 15, then view it in the dark room.

No need to download 3rd party app. Just:

1. Open setting>battery>darken interface color
2. Make sure you're in dark room (bathroom, switched off lights, whatever)
3. Turn the screen brightness to the lowest for best effect
4. Open dialer app & observe

Okay so the country director call me today, asked me to come in to pavillion store and he will let me unbox as many phones as i want until i find one that is perfect.

So i went today and they brought out 3 brand new sealed phones and the first i opened instantly was perfect, no bulging screen, no white dust and looked actually brand new like when i first bought my phone.

Was happy, gave back my phone for them for 1 hour to test if there is any self inflicted damage and after that they gave me the new phone and i'm home now. So relieved finally this ordeal has ended. Took almost a month though.

Also checked my screen is now BOE which is another huge relief biggrin.gif

For those of you who has issue, i suggest you go Pavillion ASAP as there are 2-4 China Huawei members which i assume hold high position in Huawei China standing there and watching every single customer that's being handled by service centre. They are in plain clothes but you surely won't miss them as you will know they are from China. Straight away approach them and tell them you want brand new with box exchange.

Happy to hear that bro!!

BTW, I really hope you can give us some review regarding BOE screen as some customer said that it looks pixelated (which in my personal opinion will be highly unlikely, maybe just placebo effects) & the color is not as vibrant as LG screen. It'll be very helpful for us all. Thanks in advance.

Just bought Mate 20 Pro 256GB this afternoon to replace my 128GB one. Too bad the screen is BOE, not Samsung as other people has predicted. Here's my simple review after setting it up & use it for free hours.

1. Sadly it only comes in Twilight color. The color that I don't like very much.

2. The fingerprint sensor works faster & more accurate than LG one. I'm sure this is not placebo effect as I have both of them side by side. Both using same tempered glass but BOE one definitely detect my fingerprint effortlessly. I don' t need to press my finger at the screen. Very shocking & I love it.

3. This BOE screen indeed has some reddish tint to it but it's not to a point to be considered a defect. It uniform accross the screen & looks very different from my previous LG unit & only be apparent in lowest brightness level. More like a characteristic of the screen to me. If I'm not using the one with LG unit previously, I might not be able to detect it. Definitely not a bad thing.

4. The lowest brightness level is way lower than LG. I'm still adjusting to it. But i guess it'll be more comfortable to be used in dark environment.

Everything else is more or less the same but man, I dont like the twilight color. My green unit looks more classy. But that is just me.

If any of you have any questions, just ask. I'll do my best to answer.

P/S: if anyone interested in buying my emerald green unit, please feel free to PM me

Hey bro, I take it as this is the most recent batch release? I did a few research about this gluegate and does yours exhibit any at all? Also where do you buy one from? Lazada or retail shops? How much you got one for? Thanks.
*
Yes, I believed that this is the recent batch. Regarding the gluegate issue, you can read in my review. From my test, no symptoms. But maybe because this is BOE screen.

But image quality more or less the same. Currently I'm happy with this unit.

For the fingerprint scanner did u try to remove and add the same fingerprint again? My device also like this i think is becoz my finger when dry it will hard to detect. But when i remove and enroll again it can detect very fast.
*
Yes, I've tried that. The difference is very noticeable. In my 256GB unit, it unlocks using fingerprint effortlessly
