Just seen the Huawei Mate X - now this is an awesome foldable phone! Samsung Fold is like toy compare with this! Haha!

Big screen in phone and tablet look without any hole or notch on screen. Awesome!

As usual the price is a bit too expensive! Haha!

actually if galaxy fold have a bigger screen at the front, without the huge bezels and the inner side notch, it is a better use case than the mate x. your main screen wont be exposed all the time and samsung actually demonstrated the usability

but good to have some competition in to push every mobile company to innovate

This I agree but too bad Samsung Fold design is ugly, front tiny screen, inside a huge right side notch.

Durability Samsung win but design wise Huawei win.

Anyway both also too expensive. Haha!

Unfortunately I think Huawei got it wrong. Plastic screen on the outside is just disaster and how much would it cost to replace the screen? Or is it even replaceable?

Too early to call. How long does it takes for them to make flexible screen a reality? It's gonna be forever with battery.

I think it's a design decision, depending on how you see it.

There's no way you'll use Mate X with one hand. However Samsung purposely attack from this angle, it's one hand or two hand. Fold and unfolded. Not to mention the fragile screen is protected, one crease vs two crease.

No doubt in terms of look, Mate X is better, or should I say, a design language that we're most used to, instead of the elongated Galaxy Fold.

If there's one thing I think Mate X shown better is that it still uses the whole screen when it's partially folded. I don't know if you can do the same with Galaxy Fold.

hi mate20pro users, can you guys help to test something out?

on lowest brightness, go to (setting>battery>turn on darken interface), try to scroll up and down (not too fast).

see if you notice the white text fading while scrolling and turning slightly magenta-ish.

trying to see if this is widespread or just my device.
Thanks

1. Battery life (H much better)
2. Supercharging (H faster)
3. IR blaster (S don't have)
4. S looks more classy
5. S has more storage options

These among the significant differences...

If skip spec wise. Almost all same. Just some minor UI and some feature different (more to your self preferred or not)

Thanks, this really help me a lot in making decision. I want battery life so much, for once I bought Xiaomi Redmi note (note sure which version about 6/7 years ago), the battery can last me days and I was so happy. After that I upgraded to Galaxy S because of the lack of space and camera but the battery wont last a single day.

Do you care to talk more about point and shoot style photography? I'm not fancy to take those scenery or art or superzoom photo but I do use my phone a lot to take "people" normal day photo or selfie, do you think Samsung and Huawei is similar? nod.gif

Actually I'm either purchasing S10+ now or P30 later..

Ya, because spec data is available online and I believe flagship's processor isn't important anymore as I rarely feel lag even in my 3 years old S7 edge. Thanks for your feedback. nod.gif

I think it is generally agreed that the Huawei flagship cameras are among the best you can get, especially if you are the more casual point and shoot type user and rely on the AI a lot.

ONE UI, MIUI

and

EMUI

Those are different tier.

EMUI is not as polish as above.

I personally think that S10+ is better than Mate 20 Pro. The only lacking part is the IR Blaster.

Nowadays mid range phone battery life is best compared with high end model. I am talking about Redmi note series, Redmi Max series, Asus Zenphone Max Pro series, Honor Max series.

High end model packed with more stuff, but battery life is not as good as mid range model.
