Hi, for this rgb colour mixer method, the background we shall get a fully dark black? Or else then consider got problem dy? Tq
*
See my earlier posted pic of the green tint, that is exactly what it shows by right is should show black for full screen. I didn’t bother for the 1 to 1 as most likely it will be the same if they use LG panel. Therefore I opt for full refund until they settled it. Plus huawei only gave 1 month warranty on the touch screen.

As of yesterday I ask there have been almost 60 phone being left there for 1 to 1 replacement (They have to inspect it first and no promise is given)
Comes to think of it, why Lowyat.net doesn't cover this story yet?  confused.gif
*
Lowyat got sponsor from Huawei, so they won't do this kind of report.

QUOTE(holymushroom @ Nov 7 2018, 09:27 PM)
don't confused with that 1 month screen warranty. that is for screen cracked due to accident.
*
screen crack due to accident confirm not claimable, 1 month screen warranty is for any defects from manufacturing. Please don't mislead others.

This is by our huawei country director. Screen cracked = 1 month. The rest fall into 1 year warranty.
I purposely screenshot at that time to protect myself.
I dont know where u get such info, but please share how u arrived at this conclusion? Confirm some more.

So who is misleading now?
*
is not written in any of the warranty booklet, you may ask that country manager to update in the official policy, otherwise talk is cheap. thumbup.gif

If don't believe, You may go argue with the service centre too.

Think also know la bro. Obviously this 1 month thing is an added benefit for u. Last time 3 months replacements due to crack now reduce to 1. What make u think they only provide warranty on ur screen for 1 month which is the most important part of your phone?

Where u get that info it is only a month for screen replacement? Ya talk is cheap. If you think from my side. who u think i will believe? That guy is a dirctor. He can't simply say like u, he need to be responsible for it.

Found this in my hicare apps. It is called ll 1 month screen insurance. Not warranty. If u read the term correctly i guess u should be able to get what they mean.

Anyway pls share why u say screen cracked confirmed not repairable for free in the first month?
*
Sale personal said that to me thou.

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Nov 8 2018, 12:14 AM)
Not claimable? I can confirmed with you that 100% claimable without any question ask. Happened to my friends who most accidentally dropped their phone and cracked the whole screen. Free one time replacement only.
*
if can claim then yeah, good.

Anyway I got my refund. Overall experience for mate 20 pro is the best phone to date. Browsing YouTube for hours and still plenty of power. Fast charging for 30min can last for almost one full day. The camera is my favorite as well, too bad this screen is a big let down. I will wait and see what happen next then only decide again.

may i ask how you guys ask for refund?
i went pav SC about my mate 20 pro green tint, they recorded the case, i ask them got replacement or not, they just tell me huawei will contact me.
Then huawei contacted me and say its normal for oled curved panel, i insisted its not normal, they ask for details then no more follow up.
*
QUOTE(Ah hao @ Nov 8 2018, 07:44 PM)
I complain in fb a week ago, then today rep call me. She told me is normal for oled,I said bullshit, she ask me go service center to check.

NO 1:1 exchange as this is not huawei policy, as she told me.

What should I do now?

Actually my phone screen still bearable , but now I dislike the way they handle this issue ! I told her many countries already admit this is huawei fault  ,but she still insist it's normal.
*
if they insist for not refund on a faulty product or a 1 to 1 exchange, file a report in MCMC. We are protected by it.

how to test ?
*
turn on ur phone or play some apps, put it into the water.

some basic test procedure for your reference.

IP68 test procedure

if SC change the panel which means they will only glue it back manually, but will they test the sealing of the phone? I highly doubt they will do that.

This the main reason why many wanted 1 to 1 exchange instead of asking SC to replace the screen.

QUOTE(abubin @ Nov 9 2018, 02:25 PM)
For general information, phones warranty does not include water damage even if they are IP water resistant rated. Unless it is specifically stated in their warranty that water damage is covered. In this case, if the country director said waterproof warranty is provided then they must honor it. Look in the warranty coverage document and find the quote from what the director said.
*
thats the reason why i don't bother with who ever the manager is, all warranty covered are written black and white. Verbal /facebook post / social media post does not form the policy of product.

Therefore when ever you guys got promises from sales personal, just make sure what he said is inside the policy, otherwise talk is cheap.

As for how to test IP68, you may search for IEC standards on how to test it with proper procedure. but for majority just use a bucket of water and dunk your phone in.

(Note: don't blame me if SC refuse to fix it if it really leak)

I don't mind waiting and changing

As long as the 1 to 1 exchange is legit is authenticated by Huawei as what I know the phone we will be getting is without box and just phone

So I'm doubting it alil as I did ask.the pavilion SC about this and all.they say is our local warehouse supplier.

And when you say until warranty expire now that scares me alil what if they don't.resolve the issue before your warranty expire? Basically ur screwed la.

That's why I'm.trying get refund now but I have no.idea how to.contact that country director of Huawei everyone is talking about lol
*
Just go to who ever that sell you the phone (dealers). If you buy online then good luck too.

I got mine back because I knew they wont resolve it simply because SC said "is Normal". Make sure that you purchase the item within days. Mine was 3 days.

50% chances of getting another green hulk if 1 to 1 exchange, and for sure the 1 to 1 exchange is another refurbished unit from many users here.

As far as I know, only the Huawei dealer/ SC likes to say about "country director". for the mass we dont bother who the director is. So you know who they are in this forum whistling.gif

If is a faulty unit and they reluctant to refund you guys, just file the complain to MCMC, you are protected by it.

If they said the green tint is normal by who so ever country director, then demand them for official statement coming out from press or media.

I don't understand why you all want to waste time going back and forth to change the screen and ended up another not so good unit. Anyway, your money, your call.
