Im in dilemma in getting device from maxis or digi. Both have pro and cons, cheaper monthly line fee but device is more expensive. Vise versa. Aim for xs 64gb only.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 27 2018, 09:19 AM) Biggest savings from Apple MY retail, RM1,100 (-22%) discount. Is it worth it to grab max 64gb instead? Save 700 from MY set.I also want to buy XS Gold 64 GB for wife, but... out of stocks. Now thinking should I just grab the grey or wait for them to restock... not sure if it will be restocked during the event or not hmm. If wait then still no stock, the voucher just burn like that. |

I in dilemma to buy xs or max. I went to Switch and tried both phones. I prefer xs because the size is comfortable to hold, screen size just nice while max is quite big and heavy.
Why you guys here prefer max instead? Pls state your reason so I can decide properly. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 29 2018, 09:39 AM) Funny you even asked? Because I love both devices. Need opinion from people who already owned it. All I know is the screen and battery is bigger. It solely depend on your own needs How can you allow other users opinion to affect your decision For me is always display size |

QUOTE(marquis @ Oct 29 2018, 09:50 AM) If you were coming from the plus, and have larger than average hands, one-handed use is still possible. I was dead set on the XS then my wife saw me holding the phone and said it looked like a borrowed phone. May be biased since she's seen me with a 6S plus for almost three years Currently 7plus and I am skinny guy with small handπ
. Xs just feel nice when im holding it. Max win my heart by its attractive big screen but not fit properly in my hand.So I went with the Max coz my wife said it suited me more. Played with it and one handed use is just the same as using my old phone. Some reviewers said it'd be harder to reach the top because of the "All Screen" design. That is false if your hands are sufficiently large. If you've tried both, and you seem to be leaning to the Xs, why not just go ahead with it? What was your old phone? |

QUOTE(marquis @ Oct 29 2018, 10:50 AM) The method I use to see if the phone is too big, is to try and reach the top left of the screen with my thumb (I'm right handed, so do the opposite if you're a left). I notice only the larger iPhones are balanced well enough (for me) to achieve this feat whilst still having a somewhat secure hold on the phone. With the 6S Plus, the phone was a tad slippery so that was a bit risky. Could be mitigated by using a casing or bumper to add some grip to it. Currently using 7plus and need to use both hand since my thumb cannot reach the upper icon or the other side apps icon. And yeah totally agree about the feeling when holding the smaller phone. Feel like playing with a toy and downgrade the phone. Looking at all the feedback, I think it is worth it to buy max.If you were from the 7 Plus, did you have to use the phone with two hands, or could you use it one-handed? If during the time you used your old phone, and you didn't really have a time of "Man, I wished I got the 7 instead", then you should be good with the Max. The weight as I've quoted below, is really negligible. Physical size is almost exactly, if not exactly the same. Like I said before, I could still use the Max one-handed, albeit a bit harder (especially if driving Don't text and drive folks. Bad bad idea) Another plus point to the Max, if you're getting black and putting it in casing, people won't notice is the newer phone. Can keep a low profile. One thing to note if you're used to a bigger phone, using a smaller phone two-handed makes it feel like a toy. A very odd feeling. |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 29 2018, 08:21 PM) While I don't have super slow WiFi issues, I notice my 5G WiFi gets disconnected every once in a while. No issues when I connect to the 2.4G ones though. Not sure if it's a router thingy (I'm on maxis home fibre, 100mbps). When I do connect and run speed tests, my results is consistently above 90mbps for downloads and above 45mbps for uploads. Omg tnl max got issue with wifi?iOS 12.0.1, T&L Max 64GB here as well. |

QUOTE(theROCKeteer @ Oct 31 2018, 12:10 PM) Thanks. Another question is, celcom just sent me another unit of iPhone yesterday (now I got two unit with same spec Dont open the box yet. Wait for your next bill and see how they charged you. If double charged, return it to celcom. If not, give the extra unit to me.I'm afraid they will double charge at my bill. How to confirm? |
