Right
I on my current setup is happy with it
I am simply unwilling to spend RM189 on the USB PD and another rm89 on the cable just to get a faster charging time of plus 20%??
*
that very nice if you happy with your current setup..

Yes is expensive until apple allow 3rd party MFi cable..

btw you can get any RM50 PD charger and pair with Rm89 cable that you need for fast charge.. charger brick all the same... just cable make the diff.. FYI.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 2 2018, 10:07 AM)
i think if u use 3rd party max speed u can get is 2.4a only.. 2.4a is not fast charging. If ur speed can 0-50% in 30mins that is fast charging. 2.4a cannot do that, i believe ur third party cable also cannot do that. 2.4a 12w charging is faster than the 5w yes, but that is not fast charging.

lol.. shh.. better dont speak.. else labelled as busy body.

I second that. It just don't make sense to spend that much on USB PD.

no doubt.. but my main sharing is.. what you achieve with after market PD can be achieve with ANY 5v/2.4A charger with ANY type A to lighting(come together in box) for even cheaper price...

No need to spend extra getting on USB PD charger + cable to do that

Sharp eyes its nice and quality design to suit all Xiaomi laptop products.
I am used for my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 carbon 6th gen.

Cause xiaomi design for their laptop only.

12.1 seems stable on the 5ghz band. Will monitor in a week or 2 to see if it acts up.

Ya, I second this as well. Previously on 12.0.1 I kept getting disconnected from my home 5GHz WiFi, but 12.1 has been stable so far.

I'm pretty sure that won't happen to the iPhone.

Not that Apple is smart, but Apple wants to squeeze every possible penny of its customers, maximising profits for themselves. Until thier customers teach them a lesson by not buying their products, they will continue to do so.

Just wondering why everyone is so caught up over the fast charging feature.

From my experience, I rarely fast charge. At night I slow charge my devices and wake up the next morning when the battery is full. Isn't this is the best way to maintain battery health as fast charging creates more heat which shortens battery lifespan?

The only time I use fast charging is during the day IF I need to topup the battery.

My 2 year old 7 Plus still has 88% battery health using this method.

i never use apple original adapter, usually i use dji fast charger adapter and third party cable that support 2.4a . or my pc that support fast charging MSI mobo. my 7+ is still 86 percent after 2 years and my 6+ is still 76 percent original battery after 4 years. and i have a habit when i got to my desk i will automatically charge my phone with my pc.😬 altho the phone is still 95-100%

Whatever chargers I'm using, I'll make sure I maintain battery charge between 15 % to 90%. Will monitor if there will be improvement on battery wear and tear later on.
