System unstable due to overclocking...
Possible reason.. 1. CPU overheated 2. PSU underpower
and alot more reasons....

Definitely enough power from PSU. Probably not enough vCore very few Windsors are stable at 2.8Ghz without substantial voltage increase. Btw under what conditions did you take the CPU temperature? 40 is really low for your processor when overclocked on air cooling, unless you're talking about when its just sitting idle.

QUOTE(bobiac @ Jun 4 2007, 05:05 PM) i tested with super pi 32MB... it passed... but... going up till 3GHZ bang.. its restarted... okay..assume that ur psu is okay and reliable to overclocking.. let see what things left and need to be considered; - temperature - vcore - vdimm - ram divider and timing uhm,i think the problem might came from ur vcore, vdimm and the ram divider and timing.. mind to list all the things wrote above ? i mean ur vcore and bla bla.. btw its SuperPI 32M, not 32M B.. QUOTE(bobiac @ Jun 4 2007, 05:18 PM) i think it was my ram... my friend also said that.. im using value ram only... can u suggest a good ram divider and timing i wan try it this is just a suggestion - 5-5-5-15 (1.8v ~ 2.0v) or 4-4-4-12 (2.0v ~ 2.2v).. use either DDR667 or DDR533.. plz try to use CL5 first.. and then take time to read the existed thread for AM2.. u will find a lot of guide and information there.. it might be your ram limiting the oc. ur ram basically hit the wall already. try push the ram by either using loose timing or increase the vdimm a bit just like what kalakatu mentioned *if u want cheap ram, i got a pair of Team Elite to let go

QUOTE(bobiac @ Jun 4 2007, 05:27 PM) OK thanks.. Im gonna try it first forgot to mention, if the same problem occurred, keep lowering the divider and loosing the timing..after DDR667, its DDR533 and DDR400.. for timing use only either CL5 or CL4, but i recommend u to use CL5 first as the timing is looser..
