I just switched to Maxis Fibre 100Mbps from Unifi 100Mbps. Problem is, I'm using an ASUS router and would like to keep it for Maxis. The Fibrehome unit which I'm using is an AN5506-04-BG. The issue here is that for Maxis, the VOIP is via the RJ11 ports on the TP-Link Archer C5v router, but the ASUS RT-AC3200 doesn't have any RJ11 ports; Unifi's VOIP service is connected via the RJ11 on the Fibrehome unit.
So, how do I keep my ASUS router as well as get to use the VOIP? Any solution?
TIA for any help/suggestions.

QUOTE(jusbella @ Oct 14 2018, 10:05 AM) U try check ur asus router VOIP port is what? I think it should be Asus LAN port 3, then u connect ur LAN cable to Asus LAN3 to Maxis TPLINK WAN port, then you test whether can use VOIP or not. Be informed your Asus must choose Maxis Home profile. If it doesn't work then try plug Asus LAN4 to test. Okay, that's interesting. When I set up my router to Maxis Fibre mode, it says VOIP on LAN port 3(!?) which makes no sense as RJ45 LAN ports aren't made for analogue phones. Anyway, now that you mention it, I'm going to try to set up the Archer C5v to connect to the ASUS' LAN port 3 via the WAN interface and see if that works. Never thought of trying that, but I hope it turns out well. I don't mind having another device turned on (and doing nothing except providing VOIP) rather than not being able to use the free phone calls feature. Thanks mate.
