This is something that will make your saliva drop fast! Presenting... DFI LANPARTY X38-T2RWhat's so special about it? It's using DDR2! QUOTE DFI will be showcasing their LANPARTY X38-T2R board over at Computex next week along with their LP RD790-M2R board. Both boards are the fruit of labor of two dedicated and top-notch DFI engineers; Oskar and Jarry. The X38 chipset will be able to support DDR2 as well although Intel did not list that down officially on their roadmap. Amid sky high prices of the DDR3 memories currently, it seems it is a logical choice to stick to the much cheaper DDR2 memories. Of course, the LANPARTY X38-T3R board that supports DDR3 memories will come later. LANPARTY X38-T2R/T3R board supports 1333FSB Core 2 Duo and Quad processors, two x16 PCIe slots for dual graphics + one x4 for physical, 8-Phase Digital PWM, special heatpipe cooling for PWM, MCH and ICH. I like DFI's new idea of replacing yellow with orange. The board definitely looks nicer. Having DDR2 slots now are indeed a plus as DDR2 are kinda cheap but when DDR3 becomes mainstream, people will start complaining again. I still like the idea of having both DDR2 and DDR3 ram slots (Hybrid mobo)..

Agreed The price does match the performance given by this board.. although, I will prefer similar specs to appear in the Infinity range Lanparty a bit pricey for me This post has been edited by Cyrus2k: Jun 4 2007, 04:18 PM

why they move back the 8pin CPU power to the rear stupida at least maintain the position like their P965 Infinity or better place it like AMD LanParty board

Read the quote first post properly, and you'll understand.
