Dear all Perodua VIVA owners. I have a friend which plans to install a subwoofer in his car, and I am supposed to do the installation for him. Therefore, I would like to find out if anyone has taken out the stock head unit before.

What I need to know is, does the factory head unit has RCA pre outs at the rear? Just 1 set will do. Please do let me know asap as I am supposed to install the subwoofer for him tomorrow, so if it doesnt have an RCA pre out, I guess I will need to go and get a Hi - Low converter. Thanks!

Well, since I need the RCA output, I guess it's understandable that I have an amp. Well actually not an amp, but it's an 8" active subwoofer that fits under the seat, so yeah. It comes with an amplifier built in! hehe...

I did ask my friend to change his HU, but u know la...new car. Sayang... etc. So, I can't help it, just have to make do with whatever options he leaves me. In this case, I guess I have no choice but to get a Hi-Lo converter for him then. Thanks for the info!
