hi , i plan to get a viva 1.0 manual .

is there any promotion for that ? i saw thereproce about 37,200 . hope there will be a disacount . Cos savvy lite offered 33,549 .

Of cos i wan to get viva , but just the power not good as savvy (1.2 )
. but in termsof interior, exterior , acceceris of cos viva will be better

how much is viva insurance premium each year ? is it same for all category of viva or differ ?

In sense of power Viva vs Kenari Vs Kelisa

But which one is actually more power ?

I always heard ppl said Kelisa is the most powerfull , kenari also not bad ... But how come got ppl said viva 1000cc is not power compare to kenari and kelisa since all is 1000cc . I have checked , viva and kenari having same weight, similar power and torque . Shouldnt be the power be almost the same. Weird ????

of cos kelisa will be more powerfull but how about kenari ..


what i trying to say is some ppl said viva is less power than kenari ...

I am getting this car with 0 downpayment. So the SA told me i need to do markup . Means taking another more expensive car price to loan from bank. So, he took Viva 1.0 Sxi Manual (40200 ). Other than that, he is giving 1000 discount initially, but because of the markup price, the insurance premium i need to pay has to follow Viva Sxi(RM1249.20) , which is RM 100 more ( Viva SX only 1145.20). Suppose i only need to loan from bank of RM ( 37200 - 1000 = 36200 ) , but because of this extra RM 100 , i need to borrow RM36200+RM100 = RM 36300. Means discount only RM 900 now ( 37200-36300 = 900) . Is this normal ?

My question

1. Is above situation is normal ?
2. The insurance premium i paid for 1st time is RM 1249.20 (1.0 Sxi) but i am actually buying 1.0 Sx which premium suppoer to be RM 1145.20 . Is this weird ? Maybe is due to the markup price thing, but my concern is the following year i will also need to pay a higher premium than normal one ? Anyone who own 1.0 Sx manual , can you share with me the premiun you pay for 1st time and each year ?
3. What bank are you guys loan from ? ASking for better bank .
4. How about insurance ? Which company to go for insurance ? Of cos need to do some survey be pick any insurance company .

Existing owner of Viva or becoming owner , please give some advise on above matter . Thanks a alot.

Added on October 28, 2007, 12:05 amI just found out i am buying RM 37200 car with sum insured RM 36000 which the 1sr premium payment is RM 1145.20.

But i am asking by SA to pay 1st premium payment which is RM 1249.20 , which belong to RM 40200 car with sum insured RM 40000.

So , means i am paying premium for a RM 40200 car each year , but actually i am buying a RM 37200 car ?

yeah....same case as u men ...that is why i getting a 0 d/p car ...no choices ....two bank has called me .. affin bank and maybank ....
my sa told me see which one aprove 1st then take then one ...but i was juz thinking can i choose maybank ...because affin offer 3.88 % interest while maybank offered 3.75 .... of co si wan maybank .... low interest and easy payment(lots of place , online payment easier) . but problem is if affin approived 1st then if i reject , later maybank reject my applicantion , then i will not have nay bank more ...

so i hope maybank can approved 1st then no more worried ... but i think affin will approved 1st .... still i need to ask sa if i can wait the results from maybank, b4 i sign agreement with affin ... how about u dude?

i already sign bank loan , jpj form ... but all those agreements is blank agreements , haven fill in one , sa told me later he will print the details in ... wtf ... later he simply key in wat he like then how ?

anywhere , i already sign. these few days will get the car (i hope so, so scare something will happen, get cheated or blaa blaa ...) . just need to know what else need to know when u getting the car ? any else doc ? important thing need to noted down ?

of cos not in the bank la ...its from SA , he ask me to sign . he said later will fill in the details ...what to do .....already said like that, just sign lo ... if kena tipu means SUI lo ....

Just called the SA, he said now waiting for kastam to approve don know what "thing" . Once Kastam is ok , what other procedure need to proceed b4 i get my car ? What about JPJ ?

just now called , sayign need to wait bank process cheque ... today need to go jpj , waiting for invoice , geran from kastam ... today sure cannot make it ...the fastest need to wait till next monday .....wth .....delay delay and delay ...

white is solid ....other than white all is metalic ... white i snice at 1st , but gradually it will become dull ,except yoou clean it frequent, polish ... else , just like 10 years old iswara ....

Just got my Viva , glittering silver , 1.0 sx .

But i notice one thing , when the car reverse , the two front tire seems like shaking just like engine shaking . It is normal ? SA also recomend to have a check in SC . But quite lazy , is this is normal for new car . Then forget it .

Another thing , when i mention the tailgate no alarm problem , i asking the SA tailgate no alarm , he said yes "memang tak ade" . But when i ask him can i get free install in SC , he said
"NO, they will charge you, and it is more expensive than shops outside" ..
Anyone who has already install for free ? It is true ?

Thanks for all the guide. I don even know new car also got so many problem ... Someone actually advise me to go for 2nd car , saying that new car also got problem one . I thought perodua will be better than proton , that y chooose perodua .. who know all BUATAN MALAYSIA is the same thing .....Got car on 1st day , but seems like all the problem kinda rising .... Hmmm...I got mine 1.0 Sx last friday ... now milleage already 770 km (from kl to johor and back to kl ) ..
About this car, the engine is not responsive , quite slow , cluth also weird(kinda soft , and clutch is so little , not smooth) . Maybe not used to it yet .

About the tailgate alarm. I tested out . When i lock the car with alarm . I tried to open the tailgate with key , the signal start to blink for few second , and then the beep beep sound start to beeping (alarm sound) . I assume this is the alarm right ?

Hmm....actully i am not satisfied with the engine , interior and exterior i like it . The to drive viva is not that fun. I been driving highway from kl to johor. I don know what problem, just feeling not good when driving . On word to describe when driving this 1.0 Manual "NOT SMOOTH".

How come mine got install tailgate alarm ? we all same viva , but some said they don have , that kinda weird right ?

Let me explain again.

1. Lock the caar with alarm.
2. Open tailgate with key .
3. Signal start blinking.
4. After 3 times blinking , horn sound start to beeping until u press alarm again .

Above is so called got install tailgate alarm ?

I know what happen to my "NOT SMOOTH" viva 1.0 sx Glittering Silver .

I think is the clucth setting got problem. I think the clucth is too low . As wrote in the manual , there should be 10 mm to 25 mm free , but mine about 35 mm . That is not normal right ? Later service need to ask the SA to test it out for me. So , the driving is not smooth because i need to control the clucth very carefully(sometimes lazy to do so , the journey will not smooth ).
