and anyone knows if the the sensor on the fifth door has got the alarm sensor built in or not now?

*
got my viva on monday.....still dun hav the alarm sensor
and they even change the manual now....
the manual now is change to should any of the door(except tailgate) be opened by an ignition key or other ways, the hazards light will flashes......etc................... shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

I pump full tank most of the time, everytime start power, the fuel indicator goes to max. Just that the blocks in the indicator goes down faster at the beginning, then slower at the bottom. Which means each block in the indicator does not follow to scale. As i observed, the top block last about 30+km, while the bottom block can last at least 50+km, for my 1.0SX.
*
how many bars are they when it is full tank?8 bars?

now how much is it to get that installed? i read in a few forums, that they are actually installing that extra sensor in the service center ...

what model do u have there? how are u breaking it in? need to break it in wan ar?
*
i called my sales agent, he said now viva owners can install it for free at any service centre, so i took mine to a service centre but they said they need to order the parts 1st sweat.gif

my model is the 1.0 EZi
break-in i just refer to the manual
drive below 90 and dun drive at same speed too long for 1st 1000 km and avoid hard breaking for 1st 300km

Hi c_calvin & earl-ku!

Thanks for joining this forum! Can i add you as the member of this Viva forum? If yes, please let me know your Viva model and color. Thanks!

Last Sat, I drive & stop at one place. Then when i went into the car again and start the engine, shock!  ohmy.gif  alarm sound on.. emergency light also on. Engine cannot be started. Then after a few seconds it stop. Then i try again, same thing happen. I panic.  rclxub.gif I called my friend and due to the loudness of the alarm, i went out from my car and close the door and talk. Then  shocking.gif  gasp! The door is locked! All my belongings and the most of all the car key is attached to ignition! Thank God i'm just around my house. So I walked back under the sizzling rain.

Grab my 2nd piece of car key. Went inside... try again. Fail! Called Smart Assist... they say they need to tow my car.. but is free of charge lar..  unsure.gif  but i need to attend a wedding dinner. So I go for 2nd opinion, called my brother. He ask me find the alarm central button.. and off it. I went thru the manual book.. I can't find it. Maybe too anxiety gua... then he ask me when out ... on & off the alarm again... then voila! is back to normal already. phew! what the biggest fear is that my car at that time is blocking other people car.  sweat.gif

My bro say is due to alarm malfunction. Need to send to SC to check.. hmmm... will ask about the fifth door alarm sensor as well.
*
sure, my model is EZi silver colour

erm to disable to alarm, u hav to step on the break then turn the key to on then off then on again and off, tat's wat my SA told me..never try b4 though.... tongue.gif

QUOTE(jdreamer @ Nov 7 2007, 12:10 PM)
Then, is it wise to get white? I don't want it to look old after 1-2 years. sweat.gif

Yes, normally empty promises. Last few months, my mum bought a new car. The SA promised us that we could get the car in the same week but then, we only got it after a week. What custom check lah, JPJ lah, at the port lah, this and that lah. So, my advice is that don't keep too much hope on them. Just live your current life without thinking about the car first. Let them call you.  sweat.gif

Anyway, why is tomorrow a public holiday?
*
wow...i must be lucky coz i get mine in 6 days(include sat and sun) as promise by my sales agent..
hope u guys get ur car soon

hmmm not sure wo is reading too many forum, some have the money, they can choose any car the like ... some they have limited choiced due to many circumstances ... i am for one ...which is actually forced to get it ... not much choice for me ... based on my circumstances that is my dp, my salary ... and the loan itself ...

if one is to be given choices ... then the would go for the best car ...

but sadly thats not the case ... u seems to be a basher more than a forumer ...
*
lol agree with earl-ku
why u come to viva thread to say all these things?
if u wanna bash perodua go create a thread name i hate perodua.... tongue.gif

About this car, the engine is not responsive , quite slow , cluth also weird(kinda soft , and clutch is so little , not smooth) . Maybe not used to it yet .

About the tailgate alarm. I tested out . When i lock the car with alarm . I tried to open the tailgate with key , the signal start to blink for few second , and then the beep beep sound start to beeping (alarm sound) . I assume this is the alarm right ?
*
wow then u can go for ur first service soon
yaya, urs is installed with the tailgate alarm then.. thumbup.gif

No matter how much i step on the fuel... it still drive quite slow... any idea on how to boast the power?
*
herm...mayb i just nid to step hard a bit when fetching many people...haha
underpower? well so far i felt the pick up is quite ok... not to say very good but acceptable

Ya... peYno, may i know why you always make a negative statement on Viva or even P2? May I know what car you are driving? If you really hate them.. i don't mind you open another topic called "Anti-Viva or P2".. is a freedom of speech here... but not in here...ok?!!  flex.gif

We are not jap wannabe driver... if we can afford... we might buy those jap brand also. But still, i'm proud of perodua for their effort. And guess wat.. is not 100% own-jap car.... malaysia also... is called collaboration.. and exchange tech?!!! FYI!! sigh!... forget about.. i don't want to explain. So please think twice before you post any statement here... or else i will take action....
