If they were to really offer speed beyond 100M, first n foremost:
1) redesign their equipment setup, to make custom routers possible. whereby the rj11 landline phone sticks out from ONT instead of router/vdsl modem combo like tplink vr1200v
2) i doubt they can hand out routers with rj11 phone port with decent performance, on par with Dlink DIR-882 issued by Time Fiber for 1Gbps subscribers for their own subscribers wih plans 300M n beyond...
Else if they fail to do so, it's insane to ask subscribers to get their own router that can utilize their subscribed bandwidth/plans. Even if they found 1, most likely the routers dont have phone port, n once again, it's insane to ask subscribers to ditch and sacrifice their landline phone..

Some maxis subscribers managed to bridge VOIP traffic from main router to maxis's own router. It's quite complicated (custom firmware involved), and it might not work across all routers and firnwares.
