Hi guys I need some help from some Windows 10 Sifu's..
Any suggestions would be great to!

I have a laptop with dual boot Windows 10.
1 running Windows 10 Home (UEFI) Hybrid Drive
1 running Windows 10 Pro (LEGACY) NVME M2

The problem i have is on my Windows 10 Home boot i can send all my emails
out via SMTP.. this does not have any problem.

When i boot to legacy mode windows 10 pro.. all my email clients can receive mail
but cannot send out any emails. Even hillarious i used the webmail version of
my email and it cant send out too the page ends/stops working when i click "SEND"

1) I do not use Firewalls / Antivirus
2) I have turned off the Windows Defender

This is a weird problem and i hope someone can share some light or anyone has encountered a similar
situation like this before.

Thanks horns for your feedback. As mentioned its not misconfigured as i have the exact settings in my windows home hdd and its sends out no problem the SMTP service which is running on the same laptop. The problem ressides on the LEGACY boot WINDOWS 10 PRO only.

This is the first time im using a UEFI and LEGACY dual boot on same system im guessing it could be caused by this?

Also this the first time even my web browser is effected in unable to send out mail. I know it sounds stupid but yeah it really isnt able to use the webmail for sending out mails..
all incoming through webmail is no problem. i tried to search the web for a solution but have no results thats why need some help and advice.

*I also have another desktop running WIN 10 PRO and all the SMTP works fine.. just not right for this laptop in LEGACY BOOT

Let me try to recreate/re-explain my scenario for your kind clarification.

ON THE SAME LAPTOP

WINDOWS 10 PRO (M2 Drive LEGACY BOOT)
1) Its not SMTP Service installed its more like just using SMTP Mail Settings in my mail client program.
I'v tried using OUTLOOK, THUNDERBIRD, even WINDOWS MAIL. with the results of.. :
a) I can receive all incoming emails with IMAP or POP3 mail
b) I cannot send any email with IMAP or POP3 on all mail clients.. including WEB BROWSER

WINDOWS 10 HOME (Hybrid Sata UEFI BOOT)
1) emails all working fine on all email clients


*Thats why im assuming its a WINDOWS setting? or was it a LEGACY Problem?

Hahaha this is super confusing as this is my first time encountering such a scenario cause original this laptop came
with WINDOWS 10 HOME UEFI.. and newer laptops uses the UEFI to restore back the original OS in case you have corruption
or want to restore back to original default settings. I installed the WINDOWS 10 PRO because i have an extra license.. and I
installed an M2 Drive so i thought okay maybe ill just keep the Windows 10 Home and run the WINDOWS 10 PRO off the laptop.
Its then i realized when i was using it.. my SMTP keep on telling me error cannot send mail out.. so as emergency i tried to use
the web browser webmail function then i realized this problem also occurs. It seems like doesnt make sense cause the web browser
shouldnt be tied in to sending out emails.. but its just like so...

** Any Ideas??

1) Web Browser : Chrome / Firefox (same result)
2) Yes i have tried different networks : Office / Home / Hainan White Coffee (not a network issue)
3) Using private hosting POP3 email PORTS : 143 (incoming) 587 (outgoing)
* Like i said it works on all my other PCs and devices.. just not on this boot of WIN 10 PRO
** My other Desktop / Laptop is using WIN 10 PRO and all SMTP settings work only just this LEGACY BOOT WIN 10 PRO on my effected Laptop

Yes were on the same page.
Everything is setup correctly because im still using my emails on other
devices and even on the other boot UEFI Windows

Over the years have never encountered this weird problem before.
This is the first weird problem i have met. Also went through a few technical
ppl and they told me also they have never had this problem before. lol!

If all else fails maybe ill just clone the UEFI boot and just make my m2
also UEFI.. its taking me to much time to swap and see whats wrong lol

1) The issue with browser is a super weird problem which i know. Something is really wrong. As mentioned it seems this whole WINDOWS 10 PRO LEGACY BOOT is
like blocking all outgoing emails regardless of email clients or web browser. Any other things is fine!
2) There is nothing wrong with the web address because when i boot with other PCs / Laptops & my UEFI Windows Home, this problem doesnt appear.
Its just that im trying figuring out what is blocking SMTP from going out of this particular WINDOWS..

I have considered this a weird and strange occurrence.
I have given up on trying to troubleshoot the issue due to my time constraints.

Anyway thank you so much for your replies and your kind advice. I really appreciate your assistance and time.
I have decided to format the drive and just clone the UEFI WIN 10 Home over to my m2 ssd.
Everything is back in working order.

It could have been a bug.

Now I have a new problem lol!
I cloned my drive to my M2, but when i boot I have to press F12 on my laptop to boot into
the new m2 drive.. if not defaults load the hybrid Sata drive. I went into bios and it doesnt show
an option for me to make the m2 as the main boot.

lol any help would be great.

Okay nvm i just played around with the bios and there is an ADD BOOT FUNCTION.. just added in and now it works.
