For weeks I've been trying to get few of my documents certified as a true copy. I'm a foreigner and in my home country you can get it done from 1000s of places. I feel this may be true for Malaysia as well, I probably don't know the right places.

I've tried going to following places:
Jalan tun razak Police station. They didn't help (officer not available! officer in the meeting! etc etc. )
Dang Wangi police station. Same story as above
2 Secondary and 1 public school for blinds. Same story

Took my documents to Oath commissioner. Instead of certifying the documents, he became witness to my oath of swearing that the documents are true copy of original. Which weren't accepted by the authority I needed to submit to. Oath Commissioner is not ready to certify the documents himself even when I have the originals present.

Any advises? Where should I go? I've been running around for over a week now with no luck. Already spent more than RM. 150 with oath commissioner. I thought it would be something very simple, apparently not. Any help from fellow Malaysians is appreciated.

Where can I find a Justice of Peace in KL? According to below article, JPs can attest documents for free.

what document is that and for what purpose?

Usually, u bring your original documents together with the copies of the documents to the place u intending to apply for, then, that place got someone to certified for u, foc....

example, if i want to use it for apply for university admission, i bring original and copies of it to uni or college i apply, pass it to admission officer, they will certify it for free.

Same goes to job application, pass it to HR or recruitment consultant, on the spot they chop and sign for u

same situation bro. I wanted him to write "This is a true copy" bla bla bla
but ended up with an SD form and my photocopy, both stamped and signed. But the form says I am the one making the declaration, instead of him certifying the cert.
It used to be easy. I went to my school's principal , they do this so often that they have the stamp
But now out of school ady don't know where to go .....

If you have friends working in government schools, can ask them to help. I think the headmaster/headmistress have the stamp.

Try searching on Google for Council of Justices of the Peace of <State you live in>.

Example, Selangor:

GO look for a Notary Public.
Normally, a lawyer firm will have one.
Their signatures can be recognised over seas.

Ask the person you are giving the copies to who they will accept as certifiers. Then go to bookshop and buy a rubber-stamp and get it certified.
