 The Dark Side Story of Grab Driver in KLIA 2018, Would you still do Grab after this?

I met 1 grab driver asking for RM120 claiming that we have 4 persons with 2 bagages from KLIA2 .. charge extra. However, we see from grab app, it shows RM65.

We called to ask grab customer service also telling RM65, but that grab driver called grab customer service (might be he called fake number), and claiming that 4 persons with more than 1 bagage from airport is RM120 fare.

guess a lot of con grab driver in KLIA / KLIA2 .. gotta be careful.

can we ? the grab driver cancel the trip at last. so i was not able to report.

another case also happened at PJ, where i booked grab at RM5, before raining. Right after I booked, it started raining, and getting heavier and heavier. So, I waited with my umbrella, but still splashed by raindrops for about 8 minutes. And, grab driver didn't appear saying that i plotted from home (i stayed at cheras). The driver cancelled my booking then. so I was not able to lodge report also. Apparently i rebooked grab, it increased to RM8 due to high demand during raining day. sad.gif

Somehow, I think grab app shall require customer to agree to cancel before driver can cancel the trip / booking. At least, both parties need to agree for the same reason of the cancellation. Else, grab shall give chance for either customer / driver to complain.

actually we called grab CS also on the spot, but grab CS said.. we should pay what we see on grab app (mobile) which is RM75. Not sure why grab driver can call another grab CS to advise him to cancel the job/trip. In fact sounds fishy to us - what is the number that the grab driver called, will it be fake grab CS. Thus, we decided not to argue, and just leave the car.

That is how standard Grab CS replies.

The driver taking advantage asked u to cancel but didnt ask u rebook,
becoz he know if rebook maybe wont get him again.

no le. driver asks us to pay rm120 at first. else will drop us back to airport. also told that CS says need to pay RM120. We insist not to pay, only he called CS and told CS he will cancel the job. The purpose that he called CS to ask us pay Rm120.
