Many people are still thinking to get in to part time job like Grab driver, but failed to realised the there are more than just stepping on the gas pedal to earn the money. Grab drivers are having tougher time to earn money, and there are over supply of Grab drivers in Kuala Lumpur, especially in KLIA. Let me show you The Untold Dark Side Story of the Grab Drivers in KLIA this 2018.


Grab drivers over in KLIA have to wait at least 1000 queues, and that is more in between 200-300 minutes!

Grab drivers in KLIA spend their there over here by bath, toilet break, have lunch, tea, smoke, sleep and even camping over here (I not sure how many days he had overnight here).

The discovery has caused many netizens angry to the Grab’s company and they demanded better e-hailing system:

Shocking discovery, but this is true story. I’ve even tried to wait for the ping to get some passengers in the KLIA but, gave up after waited for more than 3 hours.

ima ctually quite happy with the fact over 1k driver is camping in KLIA. thats because I know then that theres 1k less driver in KV so I can ninja here and there lol

but you were right before this when you told me sometimes grab threw a wrench your way. dayum bro... sometimes on a bad day, Ill be home at 10 or 11pm because I wait to reach KPI first. on good day, before 12pm already done. average is before 2pm already done. these days I manage to fit in more things to do in my schedule, its freaking awesome! biggrin.gif

this video captured at KLIA parking spot for Grab, Taxi and Limo drivers... The place is so huge, with canteen, car wash service and toilet with shower facility, except there is no car workshops LOL....

Partially true lah......they got "unofficial group" one phone use fake GPS or left with caretaker at KLIA for ping, another phone with other e-hailing apps cari makan. When about their turn, they drive back to KLIA.

Another way, is they sub-con someone to crack the apps, rider request, got cancel, or and hijacked to them, creating fictitious queue number.

This what the driver told me lah, he pay few k, pool among his gang to crack the apps, plus if selective to got request for fare above/ below set amount.

It constant cat and mouse between the hacker and grab IT to update and hack their system laugh.gif

I never heard of anything about crack the app at airport la.....but bk in those days drivers pay RM 10/ping from KLIA bk to Klang valley, usually we need surrender our Grab driver app access to these hackers. I know coz I'm did it before, no need wait, once picked up a trip to KLIA , just picked and dropped then drive the rider to KLIA, while the syndicate there will log into my app at the queue, dropped rider at KLIA probably wait like 15-20mins depends on the demand also la....it could be 1hr+ but not like now 4-5hrs also got ppl wanna do lol.....
Those were the days damm nice , don't mind take klia trip

I met 1 grab driver asking for RM120 claiming that we have 4 persons with 2 bagages from KLIA2 .. charge extra. However, we see from grab app, it shows RM65.

We called to ask grab customer service also telling RM65, but that grab driver called grab customer service (might be he called fake number), and claiming that 4 persons with more than 1 bagage from airport is RM120 fare.

guess a lot of con grab driver in KLIA / KLIA2 .. gotta be careful.

The driver cancelled my booking then. so I was not able to lodge report also. Apparently i rebooked grab, it increased to RM8 due to high demand during raining day. sad.gif

Somehow, I think grab app shall require customer to agree to cancel before driver can cancel the trip / booking. At least, both parties need to agree for the same reason of the cancellation. Else, grab shall give chance for either customer / driver to complain.

Report under issue under the respective booking details.

Go and tell grab about your suggestion and let see will they implement such rule or not. For me i foresee Grab need to solve a lot dispute if anything happen by using your suggestion laugh.gif

4 person + 2 luggage should book under GC+ RM75/ 6seater car RM105, the number that driver call should be grab cs support, usually CS will advise passenger cancel n book again. in this case, driver might take advantages of cancelled ride, skip the 20/25% commission part.

this 1 is serve you right la..... driver can't cancel the trip without reaching the pickup point where the passenger plotted in the app without effecting their cancellation rate.
you are most likely put in inaccurate pickup point ornot ready for pickup that you missed the driver.....pity the driver weY waited u for 8mins.... sweat.gif
on the side not of driver require passenger's consent to cancel a no show trip like your case is not really a good idea eH especially a prank booking or incorrect pickup point sweat.gif

Thanks for sharing that picture. I once fetch 4 mapren and 3 luggage before. My car almost cannot move man, have to change out of ECO mode.

Got once RM5 and carried 1 passanger with 8 luggage... Sometimes its absurd.... But if we cancel if they book wrong also affect CR. So riders, when you think kena splash by rain abit or pay RM 3 more, think of drivers risk, using a CR on you and the risk of getting ban.

Got once RM5 and carried 1 passanger with 8 luggage... Sometimes its absurd.... But if we cancel if they book wrong also affect CR. So riders, when you think kena splash by rain abit or pay RM 3 more, think of drivers risk, using a CR on you and the risk of getting ban.

actually we called grab CS also on the spot, but grab CS said.. we should pay what we see on grab app (mobile) which is RM75. Not sure why grab driver can call another grab CS to advise him to cancel the job/trip. In fact sounds fishy to us - what is the number that the grab driver called, will it be fake grab CS. Thus, we decided not to argue, and just leave the car.

actually now crapcar is better to driver for cancellation . just waste a bit petrol

of i see the face no like, i can now cancel .. if u know what i mean. better cancel rather later argue in the car

no le. driver asks us to pay rm120 at first. else will drop us back to airport. also told that CS says need to pay RM120. We insist not to pay, only he called CS and told CS he will cancel the job. The purpose that he called CS to ask us pay Rm120.

It's not the end of the world if you cannot secure a grab ride. There is so many option available. Some drivers have their own preference and same goes for riders who have their own preference. icon_rolleyes.gif

Although it's my first time using grab, I had no problem with drivers when I use GC+ for 2 adults + 2 kids + 1 big luggage + 1 medium luggage to KLIA2. On my journey back, I even had 2 more hand carry because of shopping in langkawi and no complaint as well.

In langkawi, I just book GC and each time also get MPV. One time Alza and 2nd time Sienta.
