Guys, what would you suggest for a room that has 1 window but still rather dark? Without any more hacking.

How do you rectify this scenario:
Semi-d house , renovated the downstairs guest room (with attached bathroom) , till the back end , with only 2 windows that is connected to wet kitchen . Problem is , there is lingering smell in the room that won't go away , and the problem is worse , when there is kitchen trash that is not cleared immediately. |
