Buy now as prices slowly going up as more westerners prefer this than rolex playing their supply games.

QUOTE(pgsiemkia @ Aug 7 2020, 08:49 PM) Keep waiting, as rare as sub or gmt unless going for fully gold. Get the GS now and put yourself on the Rolex SA waitlist like I did for the pepsi Gmt or black Sub. Necro, bro. But you are right. The supply issue is getting worse for Rolex. Now even the Gold sports models are on wait list. Better to just top up sikit and get VC Overseas... |

Anyone know what is the cost to overhaul a Grand Seiko? And when we send to the Malaysian service centre, do they do it here or must send back to Japan to service?

QUOTE(Knight_2008 @ Jun 30 2021, 08:51 AM) Anyone know what is the cost to overhaul a Grand Seiko? And when we send to the Malaysian service centre, do they do it here or must send back to Japan to service? It should be costing around what does official service center for Major swiss brand does around 1-3K. Since you did not mention what GS you having hence the price range given above as it differ if it is quartz, mechanical or spring drive. A example is my quartz swiss watch went for proper overhaul (change seals and quartz test since its cosc rated) caused me 1k plus. Subsequent battery change after 2 years is passed only and minor touch service is 400 plus while my in house (going to official service center is the only choice) mechanical movement cost me nearly RM3k. Its a GS so it will for sure send back Japan to service if you drop off the watch at Thong Sia (service center not opened at the moment) Cheaper if you go independent service center but the issues you may face is lack of spare parts & unsure if the person servicing the watch know what is he doing (he may know rolex/omega/Eta movement but GS movement especially Spring Drive will be totally different ball game ). Unfortunately, I am not familiar if there legit independent servicer who can deal with GS. This post has been edited by minizian: Jul 2 2021, 02:49 AM |
