Hi everyone, recently I went to the mid valley seiko and was introduced to grand seiko.. I saw the spring drive one and was surprised it is smoother than my Rolex..

And I was told also that the battery operated quartz model is accurate to only few seconds in a year.. this one I became very interested..

Any people has contact to buy grand seiko with high discounts? Got any female models to recommend?

Imho, a lot of Seiko/Grand Seiko are quite small, suitable for women. Don't really have to go for the extremely small/jeweled ones.

Glad to see someone else out there appreciate Grand Seikos! xD

Go read up more about them (Zaratsu polishing, how they are made etc). Apart from the perfectly smooth/accurate movements of Spring Drive, the attention to detail/craftsmanship also gives Rolexes a run for their money.

The only downside is that they won't be impressing Unkers/Ah Mois lah

Grand Seiko's SnowFlake (Spring Drive) is one of my holy grails to get.... But I couldn't afford it so I ended up with a King Seiko instead XD

Not all Grand Seikos are Spring Drive, and not all Spring Drive are Grand Seikos. You really should take a look at their Hibeats as well (360,00 vph, most Rolex are 28.800 vph). But most are quite.. boring looking I guess haha.

You really should consider looking at Seikos and King Seikos as well.

Yes, I believe seiko produces very good watch. I've been using mine (seiko kinetic titanium autorelay) since january 2000. Never service, no need to change battery. Brought it for swimming for thousand of times.

You can source them from Ebay and Japan auction houses. As for servicing, it depends on where you go. Most of them won't even touch vintage timepieces.

Nothing beats superb buttery second hand swiping Spring drive...

Japan alot discount.

Try to get from Japan if you go holiday there or can try seiyajapan. Reputable online seller
