Wanna ask are tp link deco M5 works like a repeater? Where the bandwidth throughput performance will cut by half something like that?

QUOTE(Invalid Username @ Oct 11 2018, 03:03 PM) TPLink supports 500Mbps "technically". OK that mean better than those repeater on the market. Coz my house layout was the wifi signal needs to penetrate 2 brick wall only reach master bedroom. So I am not sure which option I should go for.I believe if you downgrade from 500-100 your contract will be reset to 24Mo, but if you upgrade to 1Gbps it won't reset. Someone correct me if i'm wrong. However if you already have TPLink C1200 router you will not get the new DLink 882 router upon upgrade. Usually mesh wifi system will have a backhaul channel with high bandwidth to do all the heavylifting. Your performance won't be cut by half, but will be slightly reduced. a) Change a better router b) Use homeplug and setup an AP c) Mesh wifi like tp link deco m5 |
