I logged in the selfcare, there is an option in the "shop" section, that AC1200 is "Free" with condition of 24 months contract rewnewal.

So Time installer will come to install?
How long need to wait?

Old router needs to be returned?

I guess it may need to have long wait then, as so many users are upgraded across.

Yes you are allowed to downgrade, are you still within contract ? If so, your contract will be reset.

Thanks.

Just check with you.
Previous 100mbps plan, now auto upgrade to 500 mbps (within contract)

If opt to downgrade back to 100mbps, I knew the contract will reset 24 months, just wonder any difference between the T&C (normally we won't read one laugh.gif ) eg. quota/Fup, modem lifetime warranty etc.

Hi Bro,

If you are still within contract, after downgrade, all promos that you are currently enjoying (if any) will be removed, and contract will be reset.
There is no penalty.

Have you claimed your free router ?

It is possible to do this way?

Previous 100Mbps, now already upgraded to 500Mbps, there is option of "free" router for contract reset currently.
So claim it first, then contract reset for the 500mbps plan, then downgrade to 100mbps, contract reset again.

Like that, got free router with the downgrade, instead directly downgrade. brows.gif

Hey all, hoping to get a little help if possible. I received the upgrade to 500Mbps a while back but I have not seen any difference in my internet speed at all. Am still using the DIR-850L, if that makes any difference at all? My LAN status is showing a cap of 100Mbps. I've tried updating my drivers to no avail. Thanks in advance.

850L is gigabit router, so it should capable to deliver 500mbps.

Possible bottleneck by Lan cable, you need at least Cat5e) or if using switch then you need gigabit switch to deliver speed beyond 100mbps.

Reading thro the postings, I am tempted to get a better router, than the stock one provided by Time.
The question is , if I were to get a better one, I am worried about the setting up.
Easy? hard?
Plug and play? And how to set it up.  confused.gif
I like to get one that can penetrate a couple of walls in my apartment.
Any suggestions?

Setup is pretty easy across.
Just log into the router, set it as router mode (normally by default)
Just key in the username and password only,
Some also got wizard that guide you step by step.

Want to penetrate a couple of wall, then need to sacrifice 5Ghz wifi, aka connect at 2.4Ghz but a much slower speed than 5Ghz.

Get those router with HP (generally it indicated amplify wifi strength) at the back of router model, or come with high gain antenna.
