can the stock time router Huawei HG8145V5 be configured as wireless range extender? want to connect to main/host router wirelessly.

my sibling's house just got TIME internet installed. he complains that his Apple device reports the wifi is not safe. he shows me this:
 it's 2025 and installer chose WPA and not WPA2? why? can we change this? router model is HG8145X6-10. |

just to confirm. does Huawei HG8145X6-10 support 802.11ac? I see in the wireless setting page, there is only 802.11ax and bgn.
