Hi bro, could you please let me know how you reconfigure your rOuter? Just reset to factory default settings and after that do we need to manually input user id or what for TIME settings? Thanks in advance
*
Hi. Which router that you're currently using?

You need to get the PPPoE details ready.
After you factory reset you need to key in your PPPoE details.

For example, ID: XXXX@timebb
I can guide you with the configuration.

Thanks.

Hi, my package was automatically upgraded to 500mbps @ Rm139 per month recently (from 100mbps @ Rm149 per month).

Can I downgrade back to 100mbps? Don't really need that much speed for daily usage.

Anyone can advise? I switched from unifi to Time around 4-5 months ago.

Thanks much.
*
Hi. Are you still on contract?
If still under contract, got contract reset or penalty when downgrade.

You may check your self care what will happen when you downgrade.

You subscribe TIME using new sign-up or easy switch?

My advice to you is not to share out your Account and Service ID here. As it may reveal some of your personal information.
Try not post your private information here.

You may PM the Account and Service ID Number instead of posting it here.

Thanks

A new 24-month contract term will commence upon your new plan activation.

No mention of any penalty so far. Finger crossed.

First thing, login to your router via 192.168.0.1 on your browser.
Key in your login ID and Password.
The Password is TIMEXXXX, the XXXX is the last 4 Mac address of your router.

Go to Advance tab and follow the instructions.

Thanks.

Thanks for the detail. Just login and saw the the NAT Enable and Boost are both Checked.
Uncheck and Recheck again and then save. Still can not get the 500mbps to work.

Reboot from the tplink login also can not solve the problem of the said upgrade to 500mbps. it is still app 90+mbps

Any other advise that i can try.
*
Hi, try to perform direct connection to ONU and check whether you can get full speed of 500Mbps.
To perform direct connection, you must get your PPPoE details ready.

Or alternatively, you may try to restart your both equipments.
Check whether your PCs is capable of getting above 100Mbps over LAN which the link speed shows 1Gbps on your laptop.

You may WhatsApp me if you need a faster response.

Thanks.

I actually did a direct pppoe a few days ago during a call with TIME support. The speed was actually slower LOL, like around 100-200 Mbps down/up
*
Hi, you're using 1Gbps?

Try to restart your both equipments.
Which state are you in?

That is strange with your issue now.

Thanks.

Hi, yep was upgraded from the 300Mbps plan. Restarted again, speedtest to time server got 450 down, 496 up. But when I use fast.com can get 530 down 850 up (I thought max upload speed was only 500? haha)

Selangor. Yeah it's weird, gonna go back Digital Mall this weekend to switch the USB 3.0 ethernet adapter to a USB-C ethernet adapter to see if it makes any difference.
*
Hi, do try out and see.

If possible, test out 5GHz and see.
Have you tried another LAN Cable?

Thanks.

I re-tested my 1Gbps connection with cat 6 cables.

[attachmentid=10071806]

Not using USB network adapter. Not even close to 1Gbps.
*
Have you perform a direct connection to ONU to test out.

It seems those who upgraded to 1Gbps now having problems with the speed.

Thanks.

I have not. Waiting for wife to finish her meeting before i can have the internet to myself.

I cant use office's laptop (GbE) since i got no admin to create a ppoe connection. My own laptop only support fE, so i used a dongle (usb 3.0 GbE). Might have issue as well since the test earlier with this setup doesnt go beyond 350Mbps. One guy pointed it's because usb 2.0. Verified the port is usb 3.0, might be conned by the hardware. Pening bro...hahahaha
*
Hmm... So troublesome for your case. Or alternatively you can get USB 3.0 Adapter to try out.

One of the forumer here also having problems of not getting full 1Gbps using the Gigabit Ethernet Adapter.

Thanks.

Hi, to perform direct connection to ONU. You must get your PPPoE details ready and connect to ONU from Laptop bypass the router and see whether you can get speed.

Check your link speed on your laptop as bro wirelessbuyer mentioned.

Do let me know if you need further assistances.

Hi, using Windows 10?

If yes, then go to Settings --> Network & Internet --> Network and Sharing Center --> Change Adapter Settings --> select Ethernet --> Properties --> Configure --> Advanced Tab --> Check Speed and Duplex is in auto mode instead of 100Mbps.

Thanks.

Your C1200 can perform well on 100Mbps line as it is up to 300Mbps over Wi-Fi.

Thanks.
