I’m getting the Huawei HG8145X6 and 1 mesh node. Is it possible to configure a VPN server at the router stage so my whole house internet connection is routed via VPN? (I couldn’t do in my previous TP-Link Deco M5 setup).

Can we easily configure Google DNS on HG8145X6? Our need Time assistance?

My router is Asus RT-AC5300 model.. Would you suggest bridge mode or the AP mode?

Currently I am running temporarily on AP mode and for the 2.4G connection, the max speed I can get is only 30mbps (im on 100mbps). Im not sure if its the settings on my Asus or its because of the AP mode..
This is 2.4ghZ WiFi issue, not AP mode issue.
For your router, it's better to have your Router performs all routing & set V5 to bridge mode.

I just installed the Huawei HG8145X6 and don't see any option in the router page to change the DNS tho, cos last time in the TP Link C1200 there's this field for me to input the DNS..

the free modem router coverage are too lousy.
I want to re-use my RT ax92u as my wifi router. Are there something that I need to reconfigure on my unifi alcatel Lucent?

Unfortunately I can't find this settings in my router page, but I did however managed to confirmed that it works using CMD > ipconfig/all

BTW I've noticed that the mesh node slows down the wifi speed tremendously for me, I tried testing the wifi at the same spot with direct connect to router (300+ mbps) VS connecting thru the mesh (70+mbps)
Is that normal or is there any settings that can be done?

Guys, is there something wrong with time? I just came home and there’s no internet. There’s the LOS thing on my router keeps blinking red light though.

the wifi speed I am getting at my master room n third room around 40Mbps average. Is it normal as I know wifi speed will cut down versus actual wired connection speed?

For new apartment, normally how long will it takes for time to be available? Newly vp and currently only unifi is available.

hey guys, I upgraded from 100Mbps to 500Mbps and got the HG8145X6 + WA8021V5.

I asked the technician to setup the HG8145X6 as modem so that I just use just 1 device as ONT + router (to save space), but he say it is configured in router mode.

I gave TIME support a call and they also can't help me to switch it from router to modem mode for some unknown reason.

In TIME's support FAQ, there's even a method to switch between 2--in-1 mode and router mode by long pressing WPS until all the indicators lights up, but unfortunately this doesn't work for me.

Any sifu here can help me? I just want to use the HG8145X6 as ONU + router instead of using a separate ONU and connect to this HG8145X6 (router mode).

yes, i tried that, also used my Time credential as password for OLT registration, but ultimately failed at ACS portion (probably need TIME to approve or something). So i give up and set it back to router mode and try it out few days.. thinking to replace with Deco X90 or ZenWiFi XT8..

Besides 2.4G and 5G WiFi networks, is there also a GUEST network we can use?
Under ONT Mode, you can add in additional SSID but you cant create a Guest SSID/Network with different VLAN.

also, is there a pdf or online manual for me to check the interface, menus, etc...?

Hi guys, quick question. I am currently using Maxis ISP with my own ASUS RT-AX55, if I change to TIME, can I still use this? AFAIK, TIME use single device for their modem+router, and not sure what is the imapct if I  daisy chaining my router to TIME device. Is there any performance decrease? Any special configuration needed?
