Is this issue a daily 24/7 occurrence or just during certain hours?
Possible to solve using VPN?
*
Kinda 24/7 in my opinion but that's common for anything China domestic related

I think most public VPN have terrible routing to China as well

Btw I need to highlight only domestic China network is impacted

Which means your smart home gadgets from Taobao will be affected and respond kinda slowly

But International version of that same gadget will not be affected as they uses their global network instead

i turned off ipv6 and found out that it has nothing to do with IPv6.

even using IPv4 streaming video in 4k on youtube is still very laggy.
if switch to 2k streaming then is still ok, can play smoothly.

i am not sure if it is youtube or time bb prob but it is super irritating.

it makes me lagi cannot wait to switch to 200Mbps soon after 15 dec 2025. since 600Mbps also does not make a difference even in such low bandwidth req user experience.

rebooted your equipment - both router and clients? not sure if it will help to submit a case with time CS. I am on time's 600mbps plan and don't notice any hiccups with YouTube playback, UHD and FHD both.

Same here. I can skip forward, after buffer and still play instantly. Most likely the client unable to play 4K properly.

Not a Time user. Maybe post your CDN edge so you can compare with each other:
https://redirector.googlevideo.com/report_mapping

Using different DNS can point you to different CDN which might be the cause

it happened to all my devices, iPhone, iPad mini, PC (even different web browsers - chrome, Firefox)

This is why I did not think that it is device specific issue.

Wired same issue on my PC some more and tried all different browsers also.

Confirmed chop not my wifi 5 mesh router issue, I had used it for Unifi in my old house for many years before I move to current place and use it for time bb also.

And I had used it for time bb for almost 2 years now. Previously ok one, this year i started to experience different issues with time bb.

Firstly I cannot hit the subscribed speed of 600Mbps so easily anymore, last time when I am on the main mesh unit, I sure can can get 600Mbps no issue one. Even last time on Unifi the same wifi mesh can get 500Mbps no issue. So certainly my wifi mesh can hit the max speed no issue.

For the past 1 year, I cannot reach 600Mbps at all for 90% of time.a lot of time at most 4xxMbps.

Then recently whenever I watch 4K video sure got buffering issue, manually select 2k slightly better a bit, stop for a while then start streaming.

Would you have another router to confirm? Possibly, seen before rarely, where a router is failing or overheating due to placement.
