Not yet signed up. My house is a condo with 900 sqft and my room is roughly 7 to 8 meter away from my router, perhaps self buying a mesh system will be better if comparing with the one provided by TIME?

Get yourself your own router, avoid getting the stock WiFi7 router.

It seems TIME will be sunsetting Voice app soon. Now we can only use the POTS port in ONU for that. Which means we will not be able to use our own SIP phone for that.

Such a shame, TIME Voice app is such a well done thing

If you have your soft phone and you know the SIP credentials, you still can configure it into your soft phone.

any guide for this? again, it's a shame they're continuing this app, SIP with my home landline is really convenient.

Can I ask how did you get this offer? Do you have to call them?

Yes, I have the SIP credentials. However the catch here is

- If they sunset the Time voice app. They might as well decommission the proxy IP pointing to the SIP server which is routable and accessible from public network.

- They use VLAN just like TM for the SIP. However, it seems how to connect to the SIP server on private network is a challenge. I have tried it, even setting the VLAN and configure the IP the same as what was shown in the ONU, there's no no access. I suspect TIME did do some whitelisting in the backend.

It seems they are trying hard not to allow customer connect to their endpoint using their own SIP devices. Whenever customer contacted them, they will not give out any information, or even reset the SIP password and lock out the ONU. They insisted that either you use the Voice app or plug in only one phone to the POTS port in your ONU.

It's actually Acrobits Softphone white label

https://acrobits.net/cloud-softphone/

I would assume the costs might be too high and the usage of the app isn't enough to justify continuing to pay for it

I am thinking why they don't just give out the SIP information, so that they can use it on their mobile app softphone ?

If you run a small business and somehow need a landline phone number that you somehow can answer everywhere then TIME Voice is one of the most convenient and cheapest solution in the market.

Not as convenient as just downloading an app that works literally everywhere in the world with zero roaming charges tongue.gif

I requested CS for the change to Bridge mode via Live Chat. They did it very quickly and asked me to reboot the TIME router. However, the new router failed to setup and when I login to TIME router, I could still see WAN Mode is "Route WAN" instead of "Bridge WAN" and the Wifi SSID was also left enabled... I contacted CS again and asked them to verify whether it has been changed to Bridge mode, they confirmed it has been changed and reminded me to plug into LAN 1 of the TIME router. I screenshot the WAN Mode and asked why it is not showing "Bridge WAN". After a while, they just asked me to leave contact number for them to call back instead...

In the end, I came across this post https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry110590642 and followed the instructions there only then managed to setup bridge mode successfully. Credits to the member for giving such details instruction  thumbup.gif  Definitely more helpful than TIME CS...

Just wanna add on. I changed bridge mode myself and when TIME upgraded their equipment, it will revert back to Route Mode, causing you to lose internet. Hope this will help, if they ever upgraded equipment in ur area.
