ive read the manga way before it was getting animated. i was really into it. it got that realism in it. the story was nicely told, the character build up is decent, the manga drawing are very nice and story wise its a bit dark. i will say i will enjoy this anime but i hope the censorship will be as minimal as possible.

#2 is out but it seems the anime skipped the 2nd rape scene. the all women noob party. all it shows was their demise. dead/burning/suprise buttsexed.

i tot they were experience ones? but still failed to the goblins.

there were some backlash especially from the 1st episode. i usually dont dive in head 1st on the anime and ive read the manga before so i know what to expect. this anime is not for the faint of heart.

i dont mind really. its a part of a story and the scene is done quite tamely to be honest (of course the censorship comes in play). its not to arouse us, its to feel disgusted over what the goblins can and will do once they got u.

its a story build up for us to know that the goblin in this verse do heinous acts and made us the viewers hate the goblin for what it is....

at the end of the day, we are not mentally the same, some take things seriously while others takes this as a part of story telling.

yea i guess you're right. it's like a slice of life-ish story about one particular adventurer in a crapsack fantasy world.

have you been following the story in the manga or novel? in the anime they show bit of the background story of the place about gods playing dice and whatnot. i wonder if that will lead somewhere.

i'll chime in on what i know. the dice in the anime actually similar to a board game called dungeons and dragons. some say the author are influenced by that game.

ive been reading the manga for a while and i do like the setting of the story. it feels more organic and serious. i do admit its not for everyone taste but im sure hell love the series.

for me the story tells us that sometime we always over look the obvious thing that we considered just as nothing. people in that world were mostly focused on the other higher things such as defeating the demon lord, dragons and other high tier villains.

hence the goblin are somewhat being pushed aside and never been brought up as a real threat. The newbie adventures thought it was an easy job even the pros so they never seems to do research about goblins. the lack of knowledge is somehow the adventures fault cause like i said, they (the GS society) consider the goblin as mere pest.

anyways its a good set up of a story thats a bit dark for some. call me easily entertained or whatever but i do feel the story is quite good and organic and not really forceful and yeah ive read the manga for quite sometimes so i do know the story quite further and im gonna bet some of u will be entertained and some might push it further away.

I think its a good move to rearrange the arc. The meat shield arc for me personally is the best arc to end the season.
