When you get a chance in the future and know you will pass by the Maxis Center, do the eSIM conversion on your iPhone. In case anything happens, you can walk in immediately to get a SIM replacement.

I converted my Hotlink… but it is Postpaid SIM card when I went to the shopping mall last time during weekend. I did it while walking from the car park to the mall with personal hotspot from another device. It was a smooth experience, but took some minutes to complete the process. Be patient yah.

I also remember when I swapped my iPhone from the 14 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max. I just did the eSIM transfer without needing to get a new esim QR code from the Maxis Center.

By the way, nowadays, the staff at Maxis Centers really lack training on their company’s products and services. They only focus on hard-selling devices with contracts, postpaid plans, and fiber plans. For customer service, it seems they prefer you don't come in, as there's no commission involved. They even dare to tell me cannot port-in to Prepaid plan. Only Postpaid available. Not the dealer, is the Maxis Center.

I am thinking to go to NU Sental like Aerobreaker did to straight get an eSIM.

ic. then not bad then. same price as celcomdigi (yellow)..

but one thing good about celcomdigi (yellow) is that the validity follows the plan...

meaning if account validity expired today... i still have credit balance inside the account says.. rm20... i top up rm5 (make my account valdity extending by 5 days, but if i also buy the monthly plan rm25..., my validity of the acount will become 30 days...

so meaning comparing to hotlink, to keep the account valid for 30 days, u must top up rm30 monthly no matter how, but the plan is rm25 only, so u will have rm5 remaining in the account every month...and this rm5 will continue to roll with next month rm5... and so on...

but celcomdigi (yellow), also the same, rm5 remaining if i top up rm30 and buy rm25 plan... but once the accumulated hit rm25 or account balance is rm20 and i top up rm5 only, i can buy rm25 plan to get 30 days vadility... i just discovered this recently. find it useful to stop wastage...

if top up rm100 can last for 120 days then not bad... tongue.gif

but seems like now hotlink top up also works differently already...

https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/faq/products/...-pantas/top-up/

How does the top up validity work?
Each top up of RM10 and above will keep your account/SIM active for 30 days from the day you top up.

For example, if you choose to up RM20, your account/SIM will remain active for the next 30 days.

Whereas, each top up of RM5 will keep your account/SIM active for 5 days.

I changed to esim in Maxis TRX yesterday. The process was smooth. The staff there really well trained. And I got it for free.

Live reporting from Maxis TRX.

The replacement couldn’t be done. When I tried to show them the FAQ link above, looks like have removed the mention of “Hotlink Prepaid”.

So annoying!

Does it mean it can be done but the service centre refuse to do it anymore? or their system had been disabled.

Yea either cases sucks for Hotlink.

1. The website was probably updated a few days ago to remove the mention of Hotlink Prepaid.

2. The staff also showed her iPad that contains internal directive / instruction and it showed Hotlink Prepaid not eligible.

So yeah, basically it was a new-ish directive sent to them. Some posts here from a few days / weeks ago were able to do it so it seemed like it’s a recent change. Ughh.

Maxis TRX says no eSIM for hotlink prepaid.

I wanted the RM25 prepaid 40GB plan.. but no eSIM is a pain when traveling.
