I was told by the maxis technician from the helpline that my house is using VDSL ( copper Wire / Rj11) instead of the optic Fibre line from the hub to residential area. Unfortunately I was able to reach max 30mbps. How true is this? Has anyone encountered the same problem? Share your thoughts

The saddest thing is my house is a landed property but it does not have optic fibre due to low density

depends on your definition of the question.

1. is it true that your house is running VDSL/Copper?
- check your modem, is it a VDSL modem & connected to phone jack?

2. is it true that Copper/VDSL max reach 30Mbps?
- it truly depends on the quality of your copper wiring.
- normally best effort may be with 30Mbps, but as what was mentioned by WaCKy-Angel,
anything above that is godsend. nasib la.. some people can reach 50Mbps also..
