Most ppl will have at least one episode of significant mental illness in their lifetime. A lot is able to get through it. Some don’t. Some have spiral out of control effect of mental and physical until the end.
No shame in getting help. In fact it requires a lot of bravery itself in recognizing you have a problem and you need help to solve it. The step from recognizing a problem and deciding to seek help or to solve it is already a big leap.
