Hendo should willingly give up the arm band to VVD.

VVD was so good in controlling the offside trap whenever Burney attacked & saved so many of our asses while Hendo just side pass & back pass .........

One of our goal came from a long pass from VVD too while Hendo was just a passenger in the team like Origi

Keita bosses the Midfield with some of his attacking runs.............

Sturridge is slow as usual when ever a ball come his feet

Btw, Mino first touch resulted in our second goal

Convincing win. Good saves by Allison. Good to see Origi earning his start. Now this is squad depth.

I dont understand why some article saying the 1st goal was alisson mistake... He save the 1st attempt then trying his best to grab the ball which is he did managed to put both hands on the ball. But get kicked away by Burnley player. What mistake he make?

Should have been a foul on Alisson since he had both hands on the ball!
Plus the scorer was offside!

personally think it was a 50-50 challenge, some ref give it a foul some might allow it but one thing for sure, it was an offside goal. the ref pretty biased anyway, burnley were physical throughout the match and there were at least 2 incidents worthy of yellow card but the ref didnt give it.

to kick the ball away from the keeper when both his hands were on the ball was a foul, abt the offside goal , it doesn't matter at all cause the foul is already a no goal , they can argue offside or otherwise, the refree is on the take , maybe , who knoes.........look at the deadly foul on Gomez, no card at all , he was on the way to cross towards the box !!!

VAR!
But that goal woke the players up, in the end it was the 3 points that matter. If anything, it was the injury to Gomez that was the stain.. sad.gif

Gomez was more defend minded, while TAA was more attacking minded

Our attack changed since TAA came on but just that Hendo cannot hold the midfield as he should have. He was lucky to have VVD to save our ass.....

He was ok, the link up play not bad at times. I wished he wasn't sub too early so we could see how he link up with Salah.

Yes, and I think the player who challenged Allison for the ball was offside too

TAA didn't win the header which lead to Burnley goal. So his defensive side is still suspect especially in dealing with long ball.

TAA and Moreno have the same tendency to intercept the pass which leave the player behind them free. that's why they are quite vulnerable against long or through ball.

Gomez as a natural defender knows when to charge and when to hold the ground. His ball control is very good for a CB that's why he can also play as a fullback.

Liverpool can confirm Joe Gomez sustained a fracture to the lower left leg during the 3-1 win at Burnley on Wednesday night.

The defender needed to be substituted after 23 minutes at Turf Moor following a challenge from which he was unable to continue.

Gomez’s injury was further assessed by the Reds’ medical team at Melwood on Thursday.

Initial indications suggest the 21-year-old is facing a spell of up to six weeks out of action, though this is dependent on how his treatment and rehabilitation programmes progress.

Damn, just when VVD and Gomez rock hard partnership starting to become freaking stable, injury strikes again.

Its so much fun to watch both VVD and Gomez at the back. VVD the leader, very calm in defending, long cross is accurate as well. Gomez, since he play alongside VVD, he too became very calm in defending, he is good on the ball as well, he wont panic when more than 1 opponent pressuring him, unlike Hendo. LOL.

Allison definitely class. He act as our extra man on counter attack. When going attack mode he was welly distribute ball. Good vision and very confident and calm.
This is what we say worth every single cent.
Same as VVD.
Luckily we dun have money down to drain. Reinforce to challenge.
