Fabinho can't play in a mid 3. Should have just stuck to the 4231 that served us well 2 games before this. Now before you said Arsenal are not Red Star Belgrade or Cardiff, that's part of the problem, it does feel like we were giving them too much respect. We only really tried to hit them on the counter, with no real intention of keeping possession (with that trio at mid it's not like we really can).

Anyway, it's 1 point earned rather than 2 dropped. We only scored because their GK made a mistake and Arsenal were really too threatening and would be unfair to have nothing to show for their courage. Our defense were really solid bar the goal conceded, but that one I would blame Alisson for not going back to his goal when he had that 2 secs, which would have allowed TAA (or is it Gomez) to prevent the shot.

While VvD being his usual self, solid defensively, he almost had a hat-trick yesterday. So unlucky.

Next, RSB away.

Fabinho was nowhere to be seen after his yellow card. He became too careful and don't dare to commit. That's what my POV and Klopp didn't replace him because there was no one at all available to do that with both Keita and Headlesson out.

I think we did well and were really unlucky with VVD's chances and the disallowed goal. Time to move on. We can't afford to drop points to non-top 4 teams.

Over the years, any kind of punishment imposed didn't really affect them that much. They just keep on spending.
