How come no more Nissan Teana in the Nissan website, first was Syphly (C segment) discontinue, now Teana (D segment) also discontinue......only selling ALMERA, X trail and Navara pickup...wtf

I think it is Nissan strategy to discontinue old car models then introduced new one in Malaysia looking at the trends of previous years.

Is a stupid car. Better to just remove. I have 1st Gen teana. So much shit problems. Vomit blood. Door panel flooded, electric system failure, cacat rims bengkok and worse, resale value. 5 years I sold off rugi 120k . Worst car in the world.

Ride handling like shit, steering and gears unresponsive, under powered piece of junk. Float like mad, peeling steering wheel leather and peeling fading seats. Only good things are spacious, big huge boot and extremely quiet cabin and engine.

Nissan only focus on better selling car like Almera, NV200, Serena and X-trail.

The problem is that Nissan not releasing any new models... Not tan chong. The next model to be discontinue probably is the almera. Also no update for a long no time. I guess most car companies are focusing on suv market now. (Eg Mitsubishi, Subaru)

I own a nissan slphy 2014 car is nice to drive but the parts really lousy.motor fan fail at 29kmileage engine mounting broken at 30k mileage.even my working company rent a bunch of Almera for sales people's also the part lousy mostly claim the bearing wheel very fast Kong n motor fan.also saw many news this nissan xtrail CVT gearbox very fast kong

Long ago I posted in teana thread in fnf. Maxed out 210km/h. Max speed pathetic. Takes too long to reach it. Overtaking at slow speeds sucks due to pathetic amount of torque. V6 only kept it quiet but not economical.

But Mazda service in Malaysia sucks right

go test drive ba, but must take winding road (or hairpin shape road), then you will feel the car awesomeness at taking corners.

other cars slow down during corner, u pijak more overtake them no problem cuz the handling is superb, i went up genting about 80-100kmh speed cuz got pedal shift.
never heard tyre screeching sound cuz if skid, the DSC kicks in.
older mazda 6 road noise is high. planning to soundproof my unit d.

i heard new mazda 6 with 2.2D power is more crazy
that beast basically has the acceleration of the pick-up truck

Nissan Malaysia quality worse than proton

I think driver problem.

Mine l33, still steady. Only change wheel bearing once, due to wear and tear

Stable, quite, comfortable seat. Unlike Mazda rattle and noisy. Buy expensive car but not comfortable. Like sitting inside a proton

previously Mazda design concept purposely make driver "feel" the road.

I own an Almera VL first batch upon launching which the center of the steering wheel is round and I used to drive my boss and brother's teana.

The only thing I like nissan car is their power steering and seat comfort. I found almera rather comfort compare to teana.

As for all those spare part reliability and cost concern, it is certainly pricey and quality wise is subject to determine.

My almera air conditioner compressor, for the past 7 years, I have changed 3 times and each times, it cost me RM2500 including worksmanship, outside.

Lower arm bush starting to make squeeky sounds.

It's a nice car especially the safety of the structure HPV to protect car rolling.

I own a first batch axia.

What I can say, I came to love perodua car for simplicity without much headache than my nissan.

It might be my first and last nissan then.

Somehow, japanese car unless is fully import from japan, otherwise the quality lose big time.

i suspect that TC used a lower grade parts for our Malaysia market.
our denso might be made in malaysia, while JDM denso is made in Japan

my teana clocked at 100k mileage .. 2.5L V4

comfortable seat = yes
stable = no (140km/j can feel floating)
quiet = yes and no
handling = like sampan


so far no issue with engine and gearbox ..but teana gearbox is kind of lazy ..it's recommended to turn on sport mode before overtake

the rest i think is still "OK"

Well, I have no clue on this and maybe you are right.

Car is unlike a phone or watch whereby one can just buy and throw it aside.

I used to ride on japs car especially nissan until I owned one and discover the whole truth.

Nothing is perfect but I found the air conditioning in my almera with the lowest temperature also lose hand down to my axia.
