I own an Almera VL first batch upon launching which the center of the steering wheel is round and I used to drive my boss and brother's teana.

The only thing I like nissan car is their power steering and seat comfort. I found almera rather comfort compare to teana.

As for all those spare part reliability and cost concern, it is certainly pricey and quality wise is subject to determine.

My almera air conditioner compressor, for the past 7 years, I have changed 3 times and each times, it cost me RM2500 including worksmanship, outside.

Lower arm bush starting to make squeeky sounds.

It's a nice car especially the safety of the structure HPV to protect car rolling.

I own a first batch axia.

What I can say, I came to love perodua car for simplicity without much headache than my nissan.

It might be my first and last nissan then.

Somehow, japanese car unless is fully import from japan, otherwise the quality lose big time.

i suspect that TC used a lower grade parts for our Malaysia market.
our denso might be made in malaysia, while JDM denso is made in Japan

my teana clocked at 100k mileage .. 2.5L V4

comfortable seat = yes
stable = no (140km/j can feel floating)
quiet = yes and no
handling = like sampan


so far no issue with engine and gearbox ..but teana gearbox is kind of lazy ..it's recommended to turn on sport mode before overtake

the rest i think is still "OK"

Well, I have no clue on this and maybe you are right.

Car is unlike a phone or watch whereby one can just buy and throw it aside.

I used to ride on japs car especially nissan until I owned one and discover the whole truth.

Nothing is perfect but I found the air conditioning in my almera with the lowest temperature also lose hand down to my axia.

After 5 years rugi 120k? How much you bought? 300k?
