Testing gx30 for 3 months. So far so good. But the only thing I hate so much is my battery depleted so fast using umobile data compared to celcom. I can get extra 1 hour SOT when use celcom data but umobile suck battery like no tomorrow. Connection seems okay..always get H+..Haizz...thinking to port out to digi (bigbonus rm30/month) but not unlimited..not sure enough or not for my usage.

digi 4G+ can go up to 150Mbps, it depends on your LTE router as well, u must get a LTE-A router to get better speed result

may i know umobile is using which telco infra? celcom?

so can I say that any area which is good reception of Maxis shall apply the same for umobile? thinking to switch from Digi due to bad reception at my condo. tested for maxis, can get 4G.

Yoodo is Celcom's company. So all their equipments are using Celcom's. I dont know why you dont get 4G+. Maybe you should also try to ask Celcom's CS on your issue.

iinm gx plan does not cap tethering speed. i did a test on my ps4 using gx50 hotspot from my phone, my ps4 shows download speed at 10.4 MBps.

Dont need to be that specific lor. Everybody already knew that. Also, LTE Advanced as a protocol has already met 4G requirements and many phones in the market already support LTE Advanced. That's why LTE is called Long Term Evolution. First gen LTE might not even reach the 4G requirement, but further improvements can be made to meet the requirements.

Hi. Need some help here. My FIL use Umobile and he has balance of >500 in his prepaid account because of low usage. Is there anyway to spend this? such as
1. Purchase some other things (like digi store has this thing)
2. Change to postpaid with the credit brought over (But I read it's maximum 100??? from post before)

Any other suggestion?

Postpaid subscribers who have opted-out from Video-Onz and want to opt-in again, can do so by sending an SMS to 28118 with the message ON VIDEOONZ. The Video-Onz data will then be assigned back in the following month.

Im using P79 plan now. and its plugged into my MIFI router as a home internet.
Im also a old time user of Umobile.

Recently moved to new place in Subang Jaya, and I tell you the speed at night starting 10pm onwards, is like morning rush hour on Federal highway ; very slow and sometimes cannot load page.

I also sometimes face cannot even load Youtube.
My speed? at night is below 0.3Mbits / 300KBits . (Base on Youtube's Stat For Nerds) . Buffering alot. Sometimes cannot even buffer.
I use an app called Cell Tower Locator and NetMonster to see where is the base station from where I am staying, Im covered by 3 stations. Still with 3 stations still experiencing slow connection. So i had to manually check the Cell ID from my router page and if I see its that "slow" Cell ID, I reboot my router.
Me and my children are heavy users of Youtube.

Previously when I was in my old house in another part of Subang, speed was fine, no issue.
To cut the story short, I have already filed a report to Umobile, and you will know whats their standard reply.
2 weeks later, no reply, and still feeling the bottle neck.

So now I am contemplating ; whether to stick to Umobile for a while or port out. I read that they are upgrading to 4G network but my MIFI is still 3G. But still its as though their base station is running on a small back haul pipeline. Akin like hundreds of users connect to these 3 stations but backhaul connected to 100Mbits fibre pipeline.
