Won't work with newer 4G Huawei stick, only some older 3G models. And if you stick the older model into a router, they will detetct that as sharing and use the hotspot quota instead.

Conclusion is kampung place seldom ppl use umobile, if the line is stable, it should be faster.

100gb in one month? If average daily 3-4gb only they won't cap I think... If 100gb daily sure they find out and cap u lol... I just guess la. Dunno is it their network poor or is it they really cap u. But few days ago I didn't face capping problem on p99 before I change to Gx30. I used only 13xgb that time.

Yes its 30days validity, doesn't tied to credit/line validity, could still use the data to the end of 30days even if validity ended.

From what I read, is it confirm P99 speed will cap after 100GB use? or is it just 8 pm - 2 am throttle only?
I'm planning to sign up the P99 promo cuba try
if throttle it's not worth trying and waste their time...

went to Cuba try and umobile signal is good as duck for me
scare it become poop like everyone talking about after 100GB or at night,

Pros:
confirmed tested no throttling after 100GB for P99 for me at least
speed is tiptop if the signal is extremely good

Cons:
but it's true after 8 pm - 1 am the line does get congested for me it's become 30Mbps, but acceptable
480p Youtube and Netflix if your eyes don't bother 1080 or 720 or not

Prepaid accounts require registration with MyKad. U-Mobile can blacklist MyKads for prepaid SIM cards.

Most telcos give indirect warning to illegal users or limit bypassers by temporarily deactivating their accounts for a day or 2. If warning is not heeded, they may opt to completely deactivate their accounts and blacklist them or take more drastic actions against serious or heavy offenders, eg send them a RM1k bill and/or CTOS. This has happened before but not to every illegal user or for every telco.

Just to add to your good post, afaik, a 4G LTE cell tower has a range of up to 3 miles/5km for Internet data and up to 10 miles/16km for voice calls/SMS. If you are out of this 3 mile/5km range = can't connect to the 4G LTE network for Internet data. Most 3G./4G cell towers are located in city areas and along main roads and highways(to cater for car navigation apps like Waze). The closer you are to the cell tower, the faster your download and upload speed.
....... So, when checking the celco's 4G coverage map online, make sure your location is within 3 miles/5km from the covered areas shown.

On your smartphone, after subscribing to a celco plan, you can check the 4G cell signal strength by going to >Settings >System >About phone >Status > Signal strength. Best is around -60 dBm; average is around -100dBm; bad is around -140dBm.

A 3G/4G cell tower can only service a maximum 60 users at the same time or simultaneously = cell tower capacity. It's a 1st-come-1st-serve basis. If 100 users are trying to connect to the same cell tower at the same time, only the 1st 60 users will be connected while the other 2nd 40 users won't be able to connect = gotta wait-in-line. So, network congestion happens when there are too many subscribers and not enough cell towers in an area.
....... OTOH, voice calls/SMS have priority over Internet data = hence, web-surfing and video-streaming will sometimes be temporarily interrupted/disconnected for 1 to 2 minutes = 4G LTE is not suitable for online gaming unless you use a packet-loss prevention VPN-like non-free/paid service.

4G cell signals are line-of-sight and can be blocked by walls/buildings, hills, dense trees, heavy rain, etc. 2600MHz is more easily blocked than 850MHz. UMobile is mostly using 4G LTE Band 7 = 2600MHz. So, for better cell signal reception, UMobile users should have their mobile device facing outside, eg not behind 4 walls in a small room or in the basement.

Normal 3G speed is about 1Mbps. Normal 4G speed is about 20Mbps. The latest 4G LTE-Advanced or 4G+ can normally give  about 100Mbps. Malaysian celcos are in the midst of upgrading their cell towers to 4G+, eg Digi and Maxis. For most people, they don't need 5G, ie 4G+ is fast enough.
