I failed calling emergency 112. There was a road accident in front of my house this noon.
Is it normal?
A bit bummer if it normal.

QUOTE(dnst_ @ Jul 20 2019, 11:02 AM) Looking for recommendations for prepaid mobile plan! Gx50 and gx12 not in consideration?Going to join the workforce soon as a young professional, will be based in KL & Penang. Android user Data consumption: around 5Gb Most used apps: Social media (Fb, insta), Whatsapp, Youtube, light browsing on Chrome, Emails Budget: around RM30/month Calls & SMS: not very sure about my usage but preferably with some free talktime Did some research and found these plans that seem to fit my needs: - U Mobile UMI 36 - U Mobile UMI 30 - U Mobile Gx30 U Mobile UMI 36: unlimited data for most of the apps that I use frequently, downside is no free talktime & SMS. U Mobile UMI 30: unlimited data for social media apps but not messaging app, but they have free talktime 30mins/month to all network U Mobile Gx30: speed throttled at 3Mbps but unlimited data for everything, a bit worried about the throttled speed. As far as I know it does not include any free talktime & SMS? For now more inclined towards UMI30. Let me know what you guys think! |

Migrated a umobile prepaid to new funz. The speed is zzzz. My wife's gx50 have no speed issue.
Am I missing something to get 'unlimited' speed to the apps listed? Just found out needs rm10 topup... My mistake. This post has been edited by sinisterair: Aug 5 2019, 01:36 AM |

QUOTE(asrin @ Aug 5 2019, 10:04 AM) The number need an active line..means you top up RM10 to get 10 days active?.. Can't. It is treated as external source. Only got 15Kbps. Not sure how to gauge. So how the speed?..you can test the speed in FB.. Type fast.com in any FB's comment..open it..and it will show how fast it can go.. However, my sis in law video in fb stream flawlessly; 1080p. An 8MB video in whatsapp downloaded in 2-3 seconds. |

QUOTE(petpenyubobo @ Jun 23 2023, 10:53 PM) There's the new unadvertised GX43 Prepaid plan in town. Fup 100GB right? Tried it. The quota was not enough. Depleted in 3 weeks. Speed 512kbps was...Unlimited 12Mbps with unlimited hotpot sharing that comes along with it. First 6GB will be highspeed unrestricted speed. No 5G access though but 12Mbps is easily attainable even with 4G. This plan was kept tight lipped and launched silently to prevent the public from hoarding their service centres seeking MNPs. |

QUOTE(petpenyubobo @ Jun 24 2023, 12:41 PM) Nope legacy U Prepaid plans have a FUP of 100GB such as the U40, U35 but not the new GX38/43. It seems U Mobile is testing the usage pattern of their prepaid customers to identify the appropriate FUP to be imposed for their unlimited prepaid plans. Perhaps observing the usage of their users and set the highest volume used by their 75 percentile users to identify what is the most fair FUP to implement. No FUP mentioned for GX43/38 in their latest FAQ update. Only drawback with their Prepaid plan is cannot access 5G network and the SIM has to be placed in phones even if you do hotspot sharing (with some restrictions not to abuse it on dedicated modems). So far tested still work with modems not sure they'll do something like Yes 5G in future forcing hotpot users to only connect to compatible phones. Also there's a hard cap on speed at 12Mbps. |
