It seems U Mobile removed the 5GB hotspot restriction. Someone's gonna use the U98 plan as their home WiFi now LOL

QUOTE(aniq8676 @ Feb 10 2023, 12:37 PM) ![]() Permanent maybe What is meant by "Sharing from Highspeed Data"? The reason is Hotspot Quota is still 5GB ![]() You will still have a separate bucket of 5GB Hotspot data. After the 5GB Hotspot data quota is fully utilised, the following Hotspot usage will then be drawn from your main data. https://www.u.com.my/en/personal/support/fa...ltra-hotspot-5g aniq8676 liked this post

QUOTE(kit2 @ Sep 29 2025, 07:23 AM) if i don't have umobile postpaid, how to know if my area has ultra 5g? can manual scan network and see if ultra 5g appear on the list? You need at least a prepaid card to identify, unless your phone support EARFCN locking to 9510. As U Mobile did not broadcast a special PLMN and uses the exact same band as DNB 5G. |

QUOTE(Sam Leong @ Sep 29 2025, 02:12 PM) Yes definitely, I've been to Dataran Putrajaya on 31 August, UMULTRA5G is much much much better than DNB Getting a U Mobile+CelcomDigi dual SIM might be the future for an average Malaysia who wants good speed and signal. As Maxis is getting deteriorated after they returned/got revoked from the 10MHz of B7. Nevertheless, Hotlink Ahad deals still feeling so good LOL. and both U Mobile and CelcomDigi lack of long validity plan like Hotlink RM10 5GB 365days which are suitable for backupEven during the Merdeka Parade UMULTRA5G can reach 200+Mbps DL and 50+Mbps UL, which is very good consider there is so many users around there that time DNB at that time is so congested, ping 100 - 900ms and so on CelcomDigi 4G is better than DNB 5G lol Fun fact, that time U Mobile also broadcast unifi mobile (502 153) from their UMULTRA5G ![]() |

QUOTE(xonedl @ Oct 13 2025, 12:59 PM) congestion Set it to 4G, and pray to God that U Mobile ULTRA5G will reach Kuching soonI literally live next to a big ass tower now, still... day time.. I don't think there is "real" 5G here? I'm literally at the middle of city now. At night I might get up to 150mbps sometime. ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(xonedl @ Oct 18 2025, 06:16 PM) ![]() suddenly right now it shows Ultra5G, Kuching MJC area but more like "ULTRA SLOW UNUSABLE 5G" 😆🤣😄😂 it's literally unusable. why does it shows that when in the detail info it shows only connected to 4G band. don't trick people lah Umobile day time /evening speed still terrible even connected to N78 5G band, barely doing 18mbps. it's not like I downloading anything so it's still fine. btw wonder what those color stripes means on those antennas, telco? band? ![]() The UMobile native 5G aka UM Ultra5G from your screenshot shows the site that served you is from quite far away. You need to wait until the nearest U Mobile site from your house upgraded to 5G to enjoy more reliable connection |
