so far i got no prob with UM. me too just switched from M 2months ago together with all my sub lines. found out their coverage now quite good indoor and outdoor.
call quality good as well. but mostly on whatsapp calls or imessage call. loud and clear.

mostly at seri kembangan, sunway, klia, east malaysia ie kuching, bintulu, sibu and KK

compared to few years back,  i was shocked that UM improved a lot.

sometimes when 4G not sufficient, i will try to switch on 5G. so far i got no prob connecting myself with others.

A few years ago, I used UMobile and had a really bad experience with poor coverage out of town and unstable internet. I switched to Maxis and it solved all my issues. Now, I’m hesitant to try UMobile again. There’s a saying, “Don’t fix it if it’s not broken.” It might be great for budget conscious users, but for work, it’s just not reliable in my previous experience

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the last I heard, Umobile is sharing towers with Maxis now. If that’s true, the coverage should have improved a lot la.

Just registered for and activated a prepaid esim today. It was so easy to do and I got my umobile line up and running within 15 mins.

Gonna test it for 2-4 weeks and decide if it's good enough for my needs.

It’s nothing special it’s just like a physical sim without a physical sim only cons you can’t switch to another phone if any issue with your phone

I chose eSIM because my main line is hotlink and already occupies my iPhone sim slot. Testing umobile for a month to see if it’s ok for my needs.

all telco are the same it depends have their submit your request then the telco you are on will send you an sms sometimes fast can be within 1 hour to 3 days depending. If you didnt reply correctly within the time given you need to call telco to request again

umobile coverage really poor, specially at Sibu, Sarawak.
4G coverage terrible & limited
5G wider but not dare to try because once 5G down, will be no more internet since 4G coverage so limited and never repair the old damaged tower device.
so RM58 cheap for Borneo also cannot be considered as a home wifi, only Digi and hotlink more stable to use because 4G coverage better.
*
That why they offer unlimited data to Sabah and Sarawak they know their coverage are not fully covered
