Hye guy, I have been using umobile for almost 3 years. I used travel alot to small town and umobile still working like charm, even lack of 4g coverage but still a solid H+ coverage.

But recently these few months, I realise that the internet speed is quite bad, even in KL area. Back to my hometown in pahang, the speed is so bad and it can’t even load a youtube properly. Anyone feeling the same way as I do?

Btw, I still using P70 old plan, still the best plan for me.

I am also on p70 out of out town really sux always h+ and slow.

This is my question also. I'm using Huawei Honor series phone, twice. Both also having the same problem, but I do agree with you that service provider don't provide GPS signal. However I always appear "error calculating" on waze. Do you know what is the problem?
*
Yes calculation error is related with telco not gps.

Gps only tell the phone where you are. It requires data to retrieve data to bring you to your destination by giving route and most gps app don't load entire Malaysia map only within your area

If you are using China made phones, it could be the A-GPS is pointing to china based server. Try changing that to google ones, and it can be much faster than the phone trying to fetch a-gps data from china. However, if you are in China, you may need the China ones as Google ones are likely banned. For example, Xiaomi phones are using China based a-gps data, once you change the setting to google ones, the gps will lock much faster than the default settings and much accurate too.
*
I am using a Korean phone. My experience is nothing to do with a gps.

The route map incomplete it cant load it cant calculate. There an option in map setting to download the maps.

seems like umobile are ready to use its own network without relying on maxis anymore (extend ran contract).
based on coverage map, most of the area are covered in 4G include west malaysia... quite impress they can cover whole malaysia in such a short time
*
Umobile still sux even they say mostly covered 4G. Now I only can get 2mbps that feel like 56k speed and this few days got h+ or 4g but nothing move.

They know that many Malaysians out there don't bother about the speed.
Whenever people see the word "unlimited", their eyes will open big big and immediately interested to sign up.

If they publicly advertise 1.5Mbps speed, for sure many people won't interested to sign up, and even terminate U Mobile dy.
That's why they rather emphasise their Unlimited plans more than the 3Mbps and 5Mbps speed cap for GX30 and GX50 plans respectively.

You go watch their ad:
I can see that they throw a lot of money in marketing and promotions to entice especially youngsters to sign up and port over to U Mobile.
So now they rather throw in more money in advertising than improving its network, and when the network became too congested, they throttle the speed, and then push the blame to those abusive users.

In conclusion? Throw money into advertising is cheaper than improving its mobile network.

"RM30/month? Wow, so worth it. My existing telco don't even offer unlimited data at that kind of price."
Words like this, is something that is most commonly heard by especially those non-tech-savvy youngsters and the rest of the public out there.
*
Umobile so sux it takes 30 seconds to load this page for me to reply. They keep focusing on .marketing not on their network. So most ppl that suffer switch will never come back.

Like maxis ppl port out still end up back to maxis.

Actually umobile unlimited is based on location. If crowded I dont think u can even get 3mbps or 5mbps. They spend very little on their infrastructure. If the location very little ppl its fast immediately u enter a location that crowded u can throw your umobile away

Pay as usual lorh..
Didn't mention any discount or deferments 😒
*
office close so usually maxis and digi can extend till maximum 2 months or until credit limit. I just check umobile no such benefit after 7 days from due date number will be barred.

At least allocated them equally to TM/Unifi, MAXIS, CELCOM, Digi and U Mobile.

Not like now, mostly go to TM/Unifi, MAXIS and CELCOM.
*
cant be fair they sure give priority to the big boys.

Even i am using umobile its the worse telco i ever use. They use cheap plan to scam you by throttling the speed while having unstable connection and coverage.,

Throttling the speed while having unstable connection?

How to do that?

Isn't the speed will slow down if the line is unstable?
Why still need to throttle the speed?
*
i often get speed 1mbps to 3mbps. Lagging when playing games and unstable connection usually between 7pm to 2am. I am using GX plans. I am on P70 plan

or sometimes for no reason it keep switching to E. Sometimes get 4G sometimes H+ sometimes got line but no internet.

Is it happened before the MCO?
*
Yea before MCO. During MCO i got unifi but i just test the free data sometimes 20 mbps sometimes 3mbps.

I dont really bother speedtest. If my game lagging i will do a speed test to confirm

I think there are many U Mobile users in your area and thus cause the line congested during normal time.

According to someone here, 4G can allow 60 people (if I am not mistaken) to use the line at the same time without problem.

But if more than that amount, then the line will become congested.
*
Yeap so I usually force it to use H+ it's more stable than 4G

i didnt restart upon seeing connection switched to EDGE. but i do turned off my phone every night. just this 2 days it happened on and off especially in the morning and in the evening.
*
i used to experience this very often last its because you always turn off your phone so could be the nearest tower have issue so you only getting Edge connection. So you could try this drive your car out to allow the phone to reconnect to another tower. So when you return home hope its coverage is enough.

anyone sign Upackage with U mobile before? how is the process? They lock your credit card limit or bill to you and you pay them monthly?
Need advice.

i really hate umobile billing system. My current bill if 2 weeks didnt pay terus block while other telco is based on credit limit.

To answer your question is monthly.
