Idk what has gone wrong to Umobile. Like 2 weeks ago I reported about the poor connectivity I faced at my area. During my first report they said a network upgrading was going on and asked me to wait a week. 2 weeks passed and I'm still suffering speeds like 0.2Mbps. Made another report this time there was no update whatsoever. The bar is proudly showing 4G but is totally useless for me. A month's worth of money is wasted and I didn't even utlilse the network well. Wonder what "upgrade" they did here making the network go unusable.

Well if still same...
U better port out other telco...
No use complaining...

Another thing... If u post too much bad review on U Mobile... Possibly u get blamed (because using cheapo device) or get attacks instead by some kiasu fanboy (accused u being staff of rival telco like Unifi Mobile) 🤭

I'm a Umobile fanboy too but the way they provide service now is really crappy. Porting out is another headache cuz here in my area Celcom is basically dead. Just like Maxis. Digi till 2030 also wont even improve. So disappointing they went and mess up a working network in the name of upgrade. Making it worse is that I can't even open Google Meet for meetings. Haiiih stress la being student and attending all mess online. 😔😔😔

RM0 UMobile: You're still entitled for free upgrade. Reply F1 now to get GX38 with unlimited data, calls & 2X hotspot with price of RM30/mth. T&C: u.my/GX3F

As a typical user i opt in to that offer thinking that it as a free iffer for being a loyal customer for years. Upon subscription, they now tell me that I will receive a "one time rebate of RM5" for the mentioned plan hahahahhsha. Dafak is this ? Already the network being sh*tty 24/7 and now they doing things like this? My goodness ... 😌😌😌

Hi do we need to change prepaid plan to get 5G??

Depends on which network you're asking. As for me, I am running on GX38 @ 12Mbps - UMobile.

Sadly they don't seem to like GX users to make use of 5G. 5G, atleast in my use, just wont throttle above 6 Mbps unless it drops to 4G+. You do hav ean option to switch plan via app, but it is not worthy.

The new Umobile plan has these 3 main prepaid offers ... U25, U35 and U40 which all has a FUP of ard 100GB (mind you the previous plan did not have this). U25 despite costing RM25, the validity is stopped at 25 days ... even when you try to outsmart them by buying plans through Shopee or smtg, the validity still follows the Money. Same for U35. U40 is just added Hotspot benefits. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Honestly speaking they just don't treat loyal customers well.

After 25 days, you can reload rm5 through shopee right? So that validity extends by 5 days

Yes, but that defeats the purpose of U25 right? You offer a plan that itself won't withstand to its validity. By right we could have just make use of RM30 .. Imagine topping up repeatedly for 10 months and you'll have RM50 just doing nothing with only 5 days validity per month.

Even sad to say that despite their '5G' offerings, you will be slapped with a 100GB FUP on U35 and U40 which throttles the speed to mere 1 Mbps speed or something. At this point it defeats the purpose of giving 5G since it gobbles up 10 gb atleast per hour use.

U25 is even on a much poor league. With an FUP of 30GB, calculate how long it takes for it to deplete. My GX38, though not catered for 5G is still standing strong. Just hope they would consider GX users to benefit from 5G too.

EDIT:

Telco D has an interesting way. Lets say you paid/subscribe to their Unlimited15 plan. When you buy the plan itself the validity of the reload is also extended a month. Which is fantastic for Budget users. If only they had better coverage in my area I would have taken them.
