To be precise, you get the day you buy the validity (or whatever is left of that day) plus the next day.

That's expensive.

If just to keep the #, you may consider to sell the credit and mnp to unifi mobile

i'm using only 200 Bpoints for every 61 days which means less than RM20 to maintain the number for 1 year and yet those reload are free and my phone still with the credit.
i got 10 free unifi numbers with 20GB each since Jan 2018 and finish one sim quota on July 2018.
people still can contact me on the umobile while passive period and i'm still able to whatsapp them with unifi data.
by this kinda of rate, i can keep using free while still maintaining my umobile number for the next 5 years but after this move by binfinite and umobile, i think the lowest to top up is RM5...
but still ok la, only thing is need to fork out real cash instead of Bpoints to reload and the good thing is the money still in the number bcos i didn't use it.
i got ways to get the money out and keep the number forever without using any money until the unifi number runs out of data

is it spending RM1 to extend the validity or reload?

means still using credit, and credit can exchange to money, so still using money to maintain.
credit share can't exchange back to real money.

haha, no need reward la, at least i still got another 9 unifi sim cards to utilise before start to use money on phone, still free lunch for another 5 years or maybe more

So u mobile is discontinuing partnership with bcard... And I keep on experiencing network loss throughout the day. And everything about digi prepaid plan and offer seems nice.

So u mobile fans... What keeping you guys to stay? Any good reason to become loyal prepaid customer?
