Just curious. How good is U Mobile around Shah Alam and Cyberjaya? I had them back in 2019 and they had so many obvious dead zones.

Their indoor coverage was also lacking.

Now I'm curious. What bands are they using? Can you access their dedicated network via prepaid?

Thanks! Is U Mobile a hassle to cancel? I might take the RM38 postpaid just to test out their 5G network.

SA is still restricted to their higher tier plans.

But both prepaid and lower tier postpaid plans can access their own 5G network on NSA mode.

Yes SA is supported but people on cheaper postpaid plans and prepaid can only access it via NSA.

I saw it too but saw no point in subscribing since you can't even hotspot from it.

Managed to connect to ULTRA5G at Abdullah Hukum LRT station.

DNB has a stronger signal here so you'd end up using DNB 5G more often

I was away for over 1 month.

Now that I'm back, I noticed my Iphone 13 can get full bar 5G at home (previously 1 bar).

But at the same time, my Vivo X100Pro (CN ver) which previously can get like 4 bar 5G, now cannot get 5G (only 4G+).

Do u know what 5G band UM Ultra5G operate on?

n78, n28 and B28.

B28+n78 for NSA.

Could be a glitch but my phone dropped to B28 only, it's showing as 4G but the network name is UM ULTRA5G

Looks like DNB 5G isn't working over U Mobile at least at this location.

No problems on Maxis. Maybe they're turning on ULTRA5G?

How can we tell whether or not we are connected to the ULTRA5G?

Quick question, does U Mobile support RCS? My Google Messages app is stuck at "Connecting" for my U Mobile number, and has been for the past week. 🤣

I really want to know they quantity that 90% figure in KL.

Most of the time I'm still stuck on the overly congested DNB network.

Pretty good today.

1st is PJ. 2nd is Mid Valley (LYN home turf lmao). Both are ULTRA5G. Moved out of the coverage area when I took the second screenshot.

4G indoors isn't as extensive as Celcomdigi/Maxis. But YMMV.

Outdoors around KL seems to be ok. 5G (on DNB) should be the same as everyone else. There are pockets of their ULTRA5G network but coverage seems to be increasing.

Interestingly. U Mobile peers directly with Wikimedia and Valve!

Edit: so does Maxis and TM (at least for Valve). Still cool regardless.
