in umobile app there’s a request esim, how’s umobile working for you?

I'm in Penang island most of the time. Umobile has been generally ok so far.

Just a couple of dead spots found during my hike up Penang hill yesterday even while my digi and hotlink lines were good.

For new registration, just select esim during purchase.

Not so sure about existing subscriber already using a physical sim.

Yeah, good as backup if the slightly poorer coverage is backed by lower price.

RM15 for just 10GB of 4G/5G data since I’m not in Borneo. Am testing this plan now.

My Hotlink Sabah plan better. RM18 for 60GB of 4G/5G outside Sabah.

Maxis can do but only for new prepaid line registration. Hope they will extend for existing prepaid line to convert to eSIM.
For postpaid can do through app no need to visit centre.

Umobile still using DNB. The speed is DNB 5G.
Magic5 not listed as SA supported in Msia and if not mistaken in another thread SA will show 5G+, so the screencap not in SA. According to FAQ the Operator name also will come with extra SA word to depict on 5G SA.
*
Honor can set 5G SA in developer options. 😌 It shown U Mobile 5G SA as operator name. I’m just testing the service but find nothing worth to kept on this plan. 😂 Especially in Borneo, RM15 prepaid or RM28 postpaid have more than enough data for most people.
