What is meant by "Sharing from Highspeed Data"?
The reason is Hotspot Quota is still 5GB

You will still have a separate bucket of 5GB Hotspot data. After the 5GB Hotspot data quota is fully utilised, the following Hotspot usage will then be drawn from your main data.

Very nice to know that the quota upgrade for postpaid 38 is permanent and now you can hotspot main data after finishing your hotspot quota as well, so for postpaid 38 you would be able to hotspot a total of 65GB

Luckily have been staying with them until now, 60GB for RM 38 is a steal, those who were worried that 30GB not enough for 5G need not to worry anymore.

I just contacted U Mobile Customer Service. The latest update:

STARTING TODAY (10th FEBRUARY 2023)!

Postpaid 38

Upgrade from 30GB to 60GB instantly.
Hotspot 5Gb is given for free, then after finish it will then consume from pool of data

Postpaid 68

No changes (same like old plan) --> Hotspot 5Gb is given for free, then after finish it will then consume from pool of data

Postpaid 98

No changes (same like old plan) --> Hotspot 5Gb is given for free, then after finish it will then consume from pool of data

So meaning only Postpaid 38 will get the upgrade only! This is due to the 5G demand which needs more data and U Mobile have given to it!

I am pretty sure this is a result of new government reviewed telco packages and resulted in better value for money for all consumers.

but 4g reception sucks compared to maxis

indoor 4g memang slower compared to maxis/digi
but once on 5g everything is pretty fast (usually outdoor)
the postpaid use as secondary line is good
wont recommend for primary line

my primary line is a maxis one share 48, unlimited data but stuck at 4g make me a bit upset when umobile has 5g lol
